My first DIY and I'm impressed
Came to my door in great condition. Painted and assembled it. I work on guitars a lot so it was simple for me it did need a proper set up when I was done. Pickups are decent but I'm thinking I'm going to upgrade them the tuners so far I'm not having problems staying in tune so I can't complain but I'm thinking about upgrading. Overall I'm impressed this is my first DIY guitar.

Good final result
Not good for a first build. Instructions consist of poorly labeled pictures. Website didn't help for "lp" style. Drilling was imprecise. Screws went in at angles. Bridge would not attach. I couldn't move the holes in the body. Had to file the holes in the bridge to get it to fit. Satisfied with final build.

Very solid product
I had to do so much less work than I thought I’d have to. There were no instructions, but there weren’t any needed. Wiring was very intuitive, in fact, to my surprise, they came with quick disconnect clips already installed. I thought I’d have to do some soldering, but none was needed. The truss rod was set perfectly, holes were already drilled almost perfectly, and it had a very solid build. Applying the finish to the body was my therapeutic after work project for a couple days, and I enjoyed every step of the process. In the picture, you can see that I put a fake bigsby on the body, which was almost perfectly compatible. I had to plug the bridge holes in order to make it fit, but that is by no fault of the manufacturers. Only thing I can think to knock it for is the fact that the holes for the saddle came a little bit too short, but it wasn’t detrimental to the final product. It took very little time to work around it. I’m very happy with how it turned out, and it’s easily my favorite guitar I own now. I plan on buying from them again.

Not perfect but for the price it's worth it...
For the price this is a really good kit. Everything looks good but the holes that were drilled for the tuning peg screws are on the top of the head stock. It's an easy fix but hopefully the company catches this mistake before they make too many more like this...

Very nice kit.
I liked the finish of the guitar. Couldn't be more pleased with this kit. Highly recommend this kit if you're a first time builder.

Amazing quality for the price.
I didn’t have to do half the work that I had come to expect from kits. The frets didn’t require extensive work, the nut was cut properly, and overall the hardware and electronics quality was better than expected at that price. The veneer was a bit thin, so I would recommend using grain filler rather than extensive sanding - also when installing the knobs, be sure to brace the pot from the back as to not put too much pressure on the wood. The plug based wiring harnesses will also make it super easy to assemble for those that don’t have experience soldering. So happy with it that I’m making a second kit for my son.

My First Impressions
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I have built several kits from another vendor and have been pleased with them. However, this is the first kit from Bex Gears. I just received it and am very impressed with the packaging and quality of the parts. After I have completed the assembly, I will follow-up with my experience.
