I got this latch for an outdoor dog fence, and it works really well. It's just as pictured and described. I'm pleased, and I think you will be, too.

I got this latch set for my garden gate and was pleasantly surprised at how heavy-duty it feels. It is well made. It was easy to mount with the included screws. The latch slides easily once installed. It is lockable in various configurations if you need that function.Minus one star because the painted finish is starting to wear off after a month. Also, the screws are not the best quality and will strip if you aren't careful.But for under $10 I would recommend this product and would buy again if I needed to.

I saw the same thing at a home improvement store and needed one. This one seemed to be the same but when it came I realized why it was cheaper than the one at the store. Because it was smaller. I will try to improvise a vay to use it but in case it fails, I already have a backup latch.

I needed a latch that I could put some sort of lock/carabiner into and this one seemed like it would work well, which is does. This gate latch was well made. The bolt slides easily, I didn't notice any issues with the manufacturing, and I appreciated the simplicity and the option for the hardware to be installed in either direction. It didn't have any rough or sharp edges so it was finished well and I actually liked the screws that came with it; normally gate hardware comes with cheap screws that cam out instantly but these were great.I can't speak to the longevity of this, but for now I'm happy with it.

Compared to my old gate latch, this one is much bigger and the metal is thicker. It feels pretty solid. The supplied screws are also nice. They didn't strip out or anything when I replaced my old gate latch. I like that it can be left or locked open or closed.Installation was pretty easy. I unscrewed my old latch and then screwed in the new one. Since this one is bigger, I was able to cover the old screw holes with this latch. The screws don't look self-tapping but I didn't pre-drill or anything, I just screwed the screws in to install. Took me like 10 minutes to do the whole thing.

Super heavy-duty slide bolt. I have one of these on the gate to get into my goat pasture and they somehow managed to bend the last one and get out. I highly doubt that will be happening with this one as it feels even more solidly made than the last and I cant imagine they'll ever be able to bend this one. Came with everything I needed (besides my screw gun) to get it mounted and was installed in just 2 minutes of time. Super fair price too - very happy with it!
