Critters like drinking from dispenser
Great water refresher for cats and dog. We use it outside and it is not growing algae and we remember to clean and refresh often. Had an issue with dropping plug in water and it wouldn’t work. Swapped out the plug with another one and it started up. This was a user issue not water dispenser.

awesome water source for cats and small dogs IMHO
So, i have three cats and this water fountain would last almost a week before I needed to refill it. Over the couse of maybe six months, the little motor inside started to get gunky. There was some black build-up in it, and that was my fault. They sell new/ replacement motors. I feel getting that motor cleaned between uses, is pretty hard. I don't know how to clean it. All in all, this is a great water source for small animals. The filters last about one or two weeks, before needing to be changed out.

This product requires a $10/month subscription fee
UPDATE 4/26/25:The pump will break even if you don’t let the water run out. The pump is just not built to last. If you buy this, know that it’s basically like buying a $10/mo subscription for a new pump when yours inevitably dies.It works fine, but it’s hard to open, which means it can be difficult to refill. It’s also difficult to know when it’s running low as you can’t see inside it at all. If the water runs out, it’ll burn the pump in under an hour and that costs $10 to replace. I’ve replaced it twice in the 4 months I’ve owned this. The filters costs also add up as you have to change those every two weeks or so.Overall, it’s functional but poor design makes upkeep difficult and expensive.

After two months still working great
We purchased the fountain 2 months ago when the vet told us our cat needed to drink more water due to crystals in his urine. With the fountain, we see him drinking more often. It is quiet, holds plenty of water, and is easy to clean. The filter design is very effective. When cleaning, any cat fur, food particles, etc are trapped in the filter area and the rest of the water supply appears clean. As others have mentioned the lid is a little tricky to remove. I pull up on the gray water spout and it comes right off. However this is the only place to hold onto the lid and it feels a little awkward. It would be nice if a handle was designed into the lid to aid removal.Overall I would highly recommend.

Excellent capacity and nearly all metal water fountain
The media could not be loaded. I bought this over some of their other water fountains because of the fact the entire container is metal. Metal is easier to disinfect and keep clean for the most part. I've had this since I think mid July (2024) and have regularly cleaned and changed filters. We have more than one water fountain for our cats, plus two larger bowls for both cats and dogs. My fountain did not come with any filter replacements, outside of the first use ones. Our cats really love this, and I've seen our larger dog drink out of this as well 😹 we have to change out the water about every other to every three days, versus every day for our other brand of fountain. This fountain is fairly quiet, even when it gets low on water. That's great for me, because I can't stand repetitive noises; but it's still noticable enough that it lets me know it is time to switch out the water. As for changing out the water, the top layer is incredibly difficult to get off. A really PIA truthfully. I feel like I'm going to break something when I try to get it off. There's only one place to pull at and it's the spout; and the top can get so secure/wedged in that it's nearly impossible to get off. I've been experimenting with not pushing it on all of the way, and that can help some, but in general it's a struggle. I really wish there was a lip or something that you can grab on to force it up on the edges.I noticed about a month ago that the plastic tube inside the fountain is severely discolored. There are some weird spots on it, and potentially tears(?) or other holes that maybe bacteria growth has taken advantage of. I've tried cleaning it, but the coloration does not go away. I do not like that it changed color like this in such a short time, especially with frequent cleanings and filter changes. This is a prime example for why I don't like plastic for these.Another issue to note is that if it ever comes unplugged, or the power is out at home, there is not much water on top at all. If you have other water sources, or even just one or two cats, and don't leave for extended periods of time (days) this will probably fine in most circumstances. I just wanted to note this, as we've had it come unplugged once or twice and the top area was nearly dry. We have extra water sources for our animals so it's not a concern for us. I just feel like it should be noted. So overall:+ Love that it is almost all metal+ Love the large water capacity+ fairly easy to clean and change filters+ quiet, even when it's low on water- the top area does not retain much water if it is unpowered- the horrible discoloration of one of the few plastic parts of the fountainI still would recommend it, and hopefully I just have a faulty piece for it to have become nasty looking like that. My cats (and dogs) like it, and I like that it doesn't have to be filled up near as often as our other fountain.

Best fountain yet for many reasons.
First of all, my cat gets better water than I do. Not only does this fountain have a filter just like your Keurig machine, but the water coming into my condo is filtered the moment it's inside my unit via RO. The filters say they last two weeks and you are supplied with four filters, however considering the amount of filtering going on here, I think this will last me 4 months. But make sure that if you buy it, just like with the Keurig machine, you buy extra filters. They are merely charcoal filters but designed to fit between the pump and dispenser.Sound: it claims 35 decibels I think? I don't know what planet they are on but it is zero decibels. I couldn't even tell if it was working originally when I plugged it in due to the complete lack of sound until the water came out through the pump. There is no splashing, no splashing sounds, just smooth water and clean water all the time. Incredibly easy is not a way to describe it. Simply easy is a better way. In terms of keep it simple stupid, this one is the one. I only stick with stainless steel because I know of many animals that have developed problems from infected ceramic and plastic bowls or basically a general avoidance of chin acne in cats.

Good purchase
So far so good, a few months in with this. It’s a lot of pieces when you have to clean it, not a particularly quick and easy task, but it’s fine. It’s whisper quiet and has a nice design. Good value for money and doesn’t get slimy like the plastic ones. The “filters” are nonsense though. Cut them open, take out the totally ridiculous charcoal packet, and soak the main filter material in a strong cleaning vinegar and just rinse well and reuse them. They are just for filtering debris, basically. Overall happy with the purchase. Would recommend.
