they do keep them out of my car.
I like the product. bags should be a little wider so I can place the balls inside without touching them.

Simple to use. Strong moth ball scent.
These are a humane way to hopefully rid an area with a mouse problem. Simple to set up- just remove a scented ball from the plastic wrap and place in the provided cloth bag. Synch and tie the bag and place where mouse activity has been noticed. (Wash hands after handling or wear protective gloves.)I can’t say yet if these are indeed working but at first I really notice a moth ball scent in the room they’re placed. Take note if you are sensitive to such smells. I found it less noticeable after a few days unless I picked up one of the bags- then I could still smell the scent, so I was assured the scent on them hadn’t dissipated. Perhaps I’ve just become accustomed to it? I figured they can’t hurt to try and I’ll update in time if I indeed notice a difference or not. I have already blocked off any entry points with steel wool but alas I’ve heard the little critters from time to time late at night. We live in an older home in the mountains with woods, a huge field and a stream so mice inevitably find our house a cozy place to reside. I really hope these help. This set includes a generous 36 scented balls with 36 fabric tie string bags. I’m glad the balls are all individually wrapped in plastic and again, will update my results after some more time has passed.BTW, I have placed one ball in each corner of the rooms I suspect activity and one in each closet. I have many left to replenish as needed so we shall see.

Optimistic
I’ve been spreading these around my place like it was Easter, and I was hiding EGGS! There are so many in a package, it’s hard to find places for them all! So far I have used them in my house (sparingly), tool shed, carport, and a nearby vacant house that I know has mice. Also placed them under the hood of my vehicles and lawn mowers. I have used a similar product in the past, and they do seem to help. Time will tell! Keep in mind, they are smelly, so don’t overload your areas.

Used in garage; the scent here is definitely noticeable, but not overpowering or unbearable
This review is for Mixrug brand 36 Pack Natural Rodent Repellent for Car Engines, Peppermint Oil Moth Balls for Rodents Rats Mice Indoor Outdoor, Mouse Deterrent and Rat Repellent for House, Motor Campers, Attic, Humans & Pets Safe. The pack of 36 rodent repellent balls was delivered on time, complete and as described by the seller. Each ball is approx. 1.25” in diameter and is individually wrapped; the box also contained fabric drawstring pouches which can be used to hang the repellent balls in a convenient location. Active ingredients are listed as being Peppermint Oil, Lemongrass Oil, Geraniol and Cedarwood Oil.Once the individual, sealed wrapping is opened, there is a strong aroma emanating from the ball; I would be reluctant to use this indoors, but perhaps the odor diminishes over time. I have placed two of the balls inside their fabric bags and have hung these in strategic positions inside the garage. The scent here is definitely noticeable, but not overpowering or unbearable. I will also place some balls in the attic and around my patio BBQ set. I am using these as a preventive measure; I have no indication of active rodent infestation at this time. I am hopeful that these repellent balls might provide some relief against the abundance of lizards who have made their home in my yard (although the seller makes no such claim).I cannot attest to the efficacy of this rodent repellent as claimed by the seller; however, there is at least some psychological relief in the knowledge that I have taken tangible action to deter pests.

My mice are unimpressed
I haven’t seen a reduction in mice activity in the small house I’ve deployed them in. The smell isn’t too overbearing but it is reminiscent of mild moth balls. They do dissolve and leave marks if you just set them on things so do use the included fabric bags to hang them.

Too smelly for the house
I got these hoping they would be a less smelly alternative to mothballs. Well, they do smell a little better, but still to stinky for the house. That's ok, I'm using them in the garage. As far as effectiveness goes, I'll have to follow up on that. I can tell you that they don't deter snakes. I've had a family of garter snakes hanging out in the garage and they go right past these. Time will tell if they are effective against mice which is what I wanted them for.I do like it a lot that these are individually wrapped so you an dispense them in smaller quantities as needed. The cloth bags are a nice touch also.
