Better than the Name Brands
Iāve had a lululemon mat that I have used for almost 13 years. (I go to hot vinyasa yoga 5-6 times per week). It is totally shot, weighs a TON, and Iāve been looking for a new mat for a while but I keep using it because nothing even comes close to how well it performs. I bought a manduka Pro a few years ago and it was just okādidnāt last as long as it should have for the price. I bought a Dhyana last November for $80 that said it was sweat proof and slip proof but felt like it had been coated in baby powder. I used it about 8 weeks and went back to my lulu mat. When I found this mat and read the review I was intrigued and hopeful. For what Iād call a ānon nameā brand itās a bit pricey though, but I actually own a few pairs of Iugas yoga pants and love them so I decided to try the mat. For the record I could have easily bought another lulu mat, but I didnāt for two reasons: 1) I hate the current selection of colors/the wave pattern; and 2) I wanted to see if it was possible to get a high quality mat without the brand name.I used it today for the first time and here is my review:Itās incredible!!!! No smell whatsoever. None!!! The color is gorgeous. The mat is SUPER grippy. Super sweat resistant. Just the right size. No stains, pulls, or scuffs after a 75 minute practice. And best of all it weighs almost nothing!!!I will update in a few months to report on wear and tear, but so far sooooooo good!!!!!

Completely Non-Slip Mat
I have used other "non-slip" mats that aren't non-slip at all. With this mat, I don't slip at all. Compared with other mats I have that are actually non-slip mats, I found that is was pretty cushy and comfortable on my knees, and I have had surgery on both knees. It's not as cushy as some of the mats I've used that weren't as grippy (had me constantly readjusting my hands during downdog or evan a little scared in downdog), but I find the extra grip to be much friendly on my joints than so much cushion as to have me not able to grip the mat or the mat not gripping the floor. I do sweat in my normal home practice and haven't had a problem with slippage there, but I haven't tried this mat in a hot yoga class yet, so I can't speak to how it would do if thoroughly wet.I wouldn't exactly say that the mat is "odor free", as it does have a distinct smell. I wouldn't really call it an "odor" either though as it doesn't bother me. It's not as strong as the smell of other yoga mats/doesn't smell like a tire shop, but that even that never bothered me as much as it seems to bother some anyway. It does wipe clean pretty easily (compared with some other mats I've used with a similar surface), but I will say that it does take longer to air dry than other mats I've used with comparable surface. Where the others I've used are usually dry in under 30 minutes, this one is never dry that soon and ends up being moved out of the floor and to a coffee table to dry while I head to work.I can't speak to long term durability yet because I've only had it for a few months, but so far it is holding up well. For the price, I'd say it's a good yoga mat and will stay in my rotation.

Light as a feather and sticky to boot! Updated!
I have been debating about what mat to get for months!!! I hate to shell out a bunch of coin and then not know if Iām going to love the mat.Iām a new yogi. Iāve been practicing a little over a year. I do yoga at a studio and at a gym. Hot and unheated. For unheated yoga this mat is fantastic!!! It grips so well. Itās long and wide and just gorgeous.I havenāt tried it for heated, but I spilled a little water on it and it was kind of slippery. I would use a towel for hot yoga anyway since I sweat so much. Seriously cooking butt soup in my leggings at every hot practice. I know youāre jealous. But thatās neither here nor there! Letās get back to the mat...I got the blue marble and itās lovely. I often have make up remnants on when I practice and it leaves a smudge during childās and some other poses. Wipes right off!!! Donāt even have to use spray, just a towel and it cleans right off.Does smell a little rubbery, but itās not strong and it gets better with each use. Iāve been using about 5 times a week for 3 weeks. This mat is so light!!! My old mat weighed a ton. This thing weighs way less than a bag of sugar! The strap is a nice addition but I donāt love it. Iāll get something else eventually.Donāt wait. You are going to be so happy you bought this matāat half the price of some of those other brands!8/13/20My original post was obviously gushing over this mat. Years later and you bet, I still love it! I just purchased another. This time in the navy blue. The lighter blue marble did eventually show marks from my hands and feet that wouldnāt wash off. Strictly cosmetic. I have used the mat for hot yogaāand without a towelāand itās fantastic! But I do have to remember to spread it out so it can dry after as it does hold the sweat. I still stand behind my review. Order this mat. Life is so yucky right now. You can at least count on this being a great mat and youāll be that much closer to a deep breath and a little sanity. Namaste.

Great for non-slip practice!
I purchased this mat after dealing with a slippery surface mat for a few years. I was specifically looking for a mat that was reviewed as being non-slip, and under $100. This mat was a steal at $41! It's cushioned enough to use on a hard floor, and also comes with a nice sturdy strap. The only complaint I have - and really this may just take some getting used to - is the texture is a little weird at first. It's not bad, just kind of rubbery. Also, I've been using for about a week now, and the "new mat" smell is still there. Hopefully that will go away soon, and I'll get used to the grippy feel. I will take it though, over my hands constantly slipping in down dog!
