Perfect for what I needed

After scrutinizing these fittings and testing all functions I found one flaw, but it shouldn't impact function. As pictured when the fittings are screwed all the way closed a small gap remains between the two halves of the intersecting tube socket. I inserted the short piece of tubing I was using for testing and tightened the set screw to see if it would hold securely, which it did. However if you look closely the excess play results in the tube sitting just a little out of line with the fitting. Unless someone is examining the fittings closely they aren't likely to notice the gap or offset tubing so this isn't an aesthetic issue, or a functional issue. Hence I didn't feel it was necessary to remove a star from the rating.Otherwise these are robustly constructed and attractive mirror polish finished fittings. The screws and hinges all function smoothly. Testing with a magnet evidenced slight magnetism consistent with 316 stainless steel. Mirror polished 316 stainless steel is highly corrosion resistant and remains looking good as new season after season with nothing more than light cleaning, in my experience. Note that there are set screws for both the intersecting and cross piece tubing, which wasn’t clear from the listing photos.I’m going to be using these fittings as part of a project building a tubular mount base for a Starlink antenna on my boat and I don’t doubt they will serve long and well in that role.

These stanchion tees are made from really heavy stainless castings. They are very well made with the outside being highly polished and all of the inside areas being cleaned up. There are no burrs , fragments or sharp edges left on the inside of the castings.The hinge assembly is really well done. The hinge pin is closed off on both ends and fully polished so that there is no pin entry visible.The polish and finish on these look great.The tees come with both appropriate Allen wrenches for the two different size fasteners used on these fittings. The large hex bolt holds the 2 halves together, and the set screws lock them in place on the tubing that they are applied to.They are a good price for the quality, and are heavier duty than some others that I had considered.

Seems pretty heavy duty. nice finish too.
