this was bought as a present.the recipient uses a forge and works with metal.this apron has been given his full approval.

Seems like excellent quality, thick leather with a lining on the inside, and nicely made. For the price, it seems like very good value.I use it to give some basic protection when using cutting tools.The pockets mean that at some places, there is three layers of leather, and other places have two layers, giving additional protection.

I was after a good quality apron for woodworking and lapidary that is comfortable to wear while providing a high level of protection. This did not disappoint. Soft leather and extra stitching for stress points, loads of pockets for tools and phone and a couple of rings for hanging stuff, gave me everything I need. The only gripe I do have is with the plastic guide for the straps, hence the 4 star rating. It is quite flimsy and not at all in keeping with the rest of the apron. I can see that it would be a point of failure in time. The leather does have a strong smell when it is first opened and I would strongly recommend that the apron is aired for a few days before use. Apart from all that, this is a fantastic apron at an amazing price.

This is a great apron for welding and hot blowtorch work. I have had it for some months now and have had no burn throughs. It's worth noting that the strap design is very good but once you have it set up as you want, it is worth sticking a bit of gaffa tape over the plastic strap joiner at the back so that the straps don't move through, as they will every time you take it off and on. If you stop the straps moving through you will then be comfortable to wear it all day as it doesn't dig into the back of your neck.

I am so delighted with this apron, the quality is amazing. It's the best workshop apron I have ever had. I make Double Bass bows and restore string instruments, there is carpentry, soldering and fusing involved in these processes,this apron is perfect for the job. I am 6ft 5 and this apron fits me well. I thought the cross over straps may be fiddly but they are not, very easy to put on and easily adjustable.One very delighted customer
