Holiday Game-Changer for Hard-to-Reach Plugs
This smart plug has made setting up our Christmas decorations way easier. I used it to automate our interior lights—no more crawling under the tree to wrestle with that awful plug. Now the Christmas tree turns on and off like magic, right on schedule. I also set it up for our mantle’s Christmas village, and it lights up beautifully each night without me lifting a finger. Super easy to use, works reliably, and adds a nice bit of holiday convenience. Wish I’d bought these years ago!

Decent product.
I'm am very pleased. The app is easy and informative. Gives remote access. Timer settings work fine. I wanted to have remote voltage reading as my utility supply lines are running excessively high and this supplies it. The voltage readings seem fairly accurate. Says not for 5g but my Wi-Fi operates at 5 or 2.4. you may have a choice when hooking them up.

Absolutely Love These! Quirks Mentioned Below...
4.75 out of 5.I am an avid Govee user. The app can be quirky, but if you have a DIY mindset at all, these quirks are easy to overcome. This switch is great: immediately connects, works over both wi-fi and bluetooth, and has timer functionality. The app is being constantly updated to fix bugs and improve automation. Some quirks to mention:(1) TIMERS always work; AUTOMATION requires wi-fi.A primary reason I purchased a few of these was to reboot my entire wi-fi network regularly at 5am, including mesh nodes, router, and some switches. The Govee app (as of version 6.5.02/866.0) has recently been encouraging me to move many of my scheduled lighting timers to the newer automation feature which (can be a little difficult to find: Shortcuts Panel >> Upper-right icon (looks like 3 squares and a circle) >> Auto-Run). For consistency, I decided to move my switches to this same system. I noticed, then, that the switches would never turn back on. After some troubleshooting, I discovered that using the timer feature (Home >> Tap the Device >> Timer) will work regardless of connection status, while the automation appears to require wi-fi. Not at all a dealbreaker for me, but I could see this causing frustrated returns for people wanting to reboot their network with this product. The lack of clarity here in when to use timers versus when to use automation, added to the lack of clarity of the location of the Automation section, is the reason for the 0.25 star reduction. I would consider this a perfect product, otherwise.(2) The size is indeed a little awkward... For power strips.Other reviews mention that the shape of these makes it difficult to not eat up two outlets on a power strip, however keep in mind that these are not really designed for that usage. They're designed for use in wall outlets, for which they are a perfect fit. That said, this is not at all a dealbreaker for me.

Almost perfect
PROS:* Easy to use, both the device and the app.* Doesn't ask for too much information when signing up for app.* Tracks some, but not all, of the essential energy information.* Shows energy consumption hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and for the past year.* On/Off switch on device, through app, or by voice.* Export feature to use with spreadsheets.* Can set a custom power alert to let you know if a device is using beyond X amount of energy.* Seems to work with other dashboards and smart home apps such as Alexa, Google, etc.CONS:* Almost all features, aside from on/off switch, require app and login, i.e. no onboard display.* Doesn't show peak voltage, peak amps or peak wattage to monitor spikes.* No place to input electric rate to show usage costs of a device. Have to calculate outside of app.SUMMARYIt's alright and barring something going wrong I will likely keep this despite it not giving me all the information I'd like that some traditional wattmeters give you. What it gives is still useful and tracks energy usage hourly, weekly, monthly and for past year. The On/Off button on device, app and voice is nifty as we have a device with a faulty On/Off switch, so we now use this smart outlet to turn it On/Off easier. The On/Off switch is also great if you find you have a device that consumes electricity when idle and want to stop that wasted consumption when it's not being used. The "runtime" on the app mainly just shows when the smart plug is in an On state, not the runtime of the device using energy, so keep that in mind for devices that cycle On/Off like window ac units or are used sporadically throughout the day such as microwaves. For what you get, it's a good product. I hate to deduct a star but if they improve the app to show additional info and/or allow you to input your local utility rate, then I'll gladly give it 5 stars. That's why I say it's "almost perfect".

Monitor electricity usage and make sure the coffee maker is off when you're not home.
I primarily bought this because I run an AirBnB and once had a guest leave the coffee maker on to the point it burned the left over coffee and smelled really bad. Plus it's a waste of electricity. With these adapters I can check to see if anything has been left on when a guest checks out. I love that convenience. It's also interesting to see power usage from specific appliances.

So far so good
Replaced a no WiFi no smart one with Govee and for same price this is quite amazing. I love the setup. Fast and easy and zero hassle. It is great value for money. WiFi connectivity was a breeze and worked without issue.Overall it worked really well and is quiet and you get remote control and stats to keep an eye.If you hook it to an EV L1 charging you can monitor how much the consumption is.A good feature missing is ability to input cost per kWh and see how much you’re paying for the EV charging per month or per day or per charge etc.Overall good product
