Good for MCM doors
As someone with a MCM home and 64 year old doors, I’ve been looking for a backset to eventually replace the one currently in my front doors. They were hard to find a couple of years ago but Amazon now has a wide variety available. Make sure your lockset matches the type of hole in the backset before ordering. Don’t ask me how I know. This is well made and solid. It functions as it should. My original was an attachment to the standard lockset and had more flex than was desirable.Full Disclosure: I acquired this as a Vine user. While we pay nothing up front for products, it is counted as taxable income at the retail price. This generally means Vine members pay about 30% of retail in taxes. Lowest we can give, recommendation against purchasing2 stars. Meh minus. Has some major downside or flaws3 stars. Meh. Not great, has some issues but you may find it useful4 stars. Meets expectations, works as designed, no major or obvious issues, a very reasonable choice5 stars. Exceeds expectations significantly, recommended purchase.

5 inch replacement latch fits an old school mid 70's door great!
The basement door latch to my backyard had been broken since I moved in 11 years ago into this mid seventies home. It also had a working deadbolt so it wasn't a big deal, but you couldn't close the door from the outside so it was always slightly open when it was used. Now that I got my hands on this TPard 5-Inch Deadlatch Door Lock Replacement Latch with Square Interface that has been remedied. The latch was very easy to install. It works with three of the four different door handles I had in my garage. It operates very smoothly and makes it so I can now enter or exit my basement door and have it completly closed for a change.I am happy with the TPard 5-Inch Deadlatch Door Lock Replacement Latch with Square Interface and I think you will be as well if you need a five inch latch.
