I am actually using this retractable gate outside. The wooden gate I had finally fell apart and I couldn’t afford to get a custom gate built. So I saw that this gate was indoor/outdoor and I ordered it. I can’t be more pleased. Affordable and works well to keep my furbabies in their yard!! Highly recommend!

We use this gate to keep cats out of a room and it works great. Very easy to install. Wish I'd bought one sooner.

I was all set to give this product a 5 Star review, until my 2 little dogs discovered a design flaw in this retractable gate. Within a few days after installation, they discovered how to squeeze underneath to escape. You can take your hand and actually lift up the bottom with no problem. If a drug can do that with its body, a toddler can figure it out as well. A word of advice to the company that makes this product: please reinforce the bottom with a weighted bottom hem that will not be allowed to raise up from the bottom, yet still retract and roll up with the gate. I think this would fix this issue.For dogs larger 20lbs, I think this gate would be perfect for them. That's why I'm still giving it 4 stars. The quality is nice and the retract works perfect.

This gate has a clean white appearance. The mesh fabric looks and stays clean, and if necessary it can be easily wiped down to maintain that new clean look. This 42" tall gate is actually easier to open and close than the standard height gates - there's no bending or reaching required. The gate release mechanism requires one hand to pull up and twist on two buttons which are on opposite sides. But after doing it just a few times, it is very easy to release. There are two hooks for this gate which are in a fixed position - you cannot adjust the height of the hooks. The gate brackets however have the top bracket which is fixed, but the lower bracket can be adjusted upward or downward to account for any wall obstructions. There is enough hardware included to mount all of the attachments, and the hardware is decent quality. This gate functions smoothly and it is easy to operate. No problems with this gate.

Our pet room holds a couple of birdcages and a couple of aquaria. It used to be the kids' playroom, but they're school age now, so it's basically just for the pets now.Back when the kids were younger, though, we needed a way to keep them inside the playroom where they would be safe. One side was easy enough. It was a doorway and we just installed a small little baby gate. The other side, however, opened up into our living room with an opening about ten feet long. At the time, our only option was to buy a super expensive metal gate/fence that spanned the distance. It was a total eyesore and it wasn't completely rigid, so it could be pushed around a bit. We hated it, but it was the best option we had at the time.Thank goodness we found these retractable gates. While we don't need them for our own kids anymore, we do need something to keep our young nieces and nephews away from the pets. The eyesore gate is gone and shall never return because we can use this retractable gate that neatly hides away when not in use. It's actually taller than what we needed, but I think it looks even better than a short one. Easy to install. Easy to pull out and easy to put away. Very happy we found this gate.

these gates are so good to have in your house! we have at least four of these in our home! these have been a huge help in keeping the dogs in certain places and keeping our toddler out of certain areas. we have one covering the stairway, one at theopening to the kitchen and another at the entrance of the dogs room and another at the entrance of the master bedroom. its great being able to effectively cut off access to certain areas and contain her in other areas. very helpful tool that we use on a daily basis. now when a guest comes over we can block access to the dogs that way they dont get trampled by them. a great way to restrict access without having to cage them they are free to use half the house but are out of my way.

Love the size, easy to assemble.

This gate is precisely what I required. I have a new puppy that needs to be kept away while I am absent, but the opening is quite large. This gate effectively serves its purpose. I appreciate how it retracts when not in use. The gate is sufficiently tall, and my puppy, despite her agility, is unable to jump over it. Installation is necessary, but it was straightforward, and I managed to do it myself. This gate is a worthwhile investment.
