Five stars because of the low price
The chair is almost exactly as pictured on Amazon. It looks really good. The material is also very nice. It's obviously not real leather, but it feels really nice. The material is thick enough, not flimsy or cheap feeling. The seat padding is great and firm. The back padding is good enough - soft, not very firm, but firm enough. The question is, how long will it last? How long will it stay that way? I'm willing to take the risk because of the low price. As for the reclining mechanism, it works well enough, but it doesn't lock tight into place. With high end recliners you get to a position - reclining, laying down - and it stays there. This one can slip out with slight body movement, but it's not bad. It's good enough. It's definitely worth the price and more, and I would buy it again.

Perfect size for our needs.
We are very happy with this chair purchased for our small sitting area. We are two average sized women with pets and didn't want to spend a lot on chairs We will probably have to replace sooner than if we were pet free (which is a miserable existence that will never happen for us). We are buying two more and possibly a third later if we find there is enough room.Pros* SMALL. Finally a recliner that is the right size for both of us middle aged women. I'm 5'5" at 145# and she is 5'9" at about 180#.*Easy assembly: screw the hard plastic feet on, line up the clips on either side of the back with the clips on the rear of the chair and slide it down with a little pressure until they both click into placeSimple!*Nice appearance: We ordered grey in linen fabric. It looks as expected and the grey is a true neutral grey leaning neither bluish or brownish. The linen is a pretty fine tight weave the cats will take longer to claw up. (Lol!) They might even leave it alone in favor of more appropriate toys.Comfort: Very comfortable. We have both noted that we no longer need a pillow to support our lower backs even when sitting for an extended period. seat bed is firm and supportive but not hard. Back is softer and still supportive. No stupid pillow needed. NOTE: some may not find the leg rest long enough. (We don't mind that our feet hang over a bit as we just want our legs supported when reclining and other recliners give me sore heels after a while incling me to sit improperly in it.)Pets: we ordered a pet cover designed for a small recliner, and it fits perfectly. It's like it was made just for this chair.Cons*size: A person of a wider carriage might not find this chair comfortableReclining: If you want to lay this chair all the way back to lie down for a nap, you will need to position it off the wall at least a foot. Only 6 or 8 inches is needed for the first (more upright) reclining position.Bottom Line: Great little recliner for the price. Perfect for our needs.

On the cheap side but worth the asking price
I just got it delivered 30mins ago. It was a little difficult to get it into my apartment because I live alone and the box was heavy. Other than that I think it’s reasonably priced. It’s definitely on the cheap side and probably won’t last that long however I rent my apartment and needed something sooner rather than later. Plus I didn’t want to pay too much for something I may not even take with me when I do buy a house. If anyone is curious I’m 5’4 and weigh 173lbs. I’m seated comfortably but my feet so touch the floor. The cushioning is decent and it’s pretty sturdy for me. There’s no handle to operate the pullout so you’ll have to carefully lean all the way back to get it to come out to put your feet/legs up.

Just what I needed
This chair arrived in perfect condition and faster than anticipated. I think this is just my proximity to the warehouse though. I purchased this to have furniture in my apartment while my furniture from Ashley and local furniture stores continue to be on back order with an est. delivery date pushed out (back) further and further. Since money for my other furniture has already been collected I did not want to shell out too much more on furniture. This chair is perfect for those on a “budget” or just needing a temporary fix, or those who don’t care about “fancy/expensive” furniture. It seems to be durable though and will last a long time. Again it is not a piece of shift. I too was hesitant about buying furniture with a country of origin as China on Amazon. This chair though is perfect. Would definitely order again/recommend to those in similar situations and of petite stature. This chair was easy to assemble (just a one person job) and can be disassembled if needed for moving. Top just comes apart from the bottom and then flip over to screw off legs. No screws or screwdriver required! This chair is firm and soft at the same time. It is giving the perfect amount of support I need, but isn’t the same support you’d have on other more heavy duty furniture.I am on the petite side so this chair is the perfect height for me. For instance, when sitting all the way back my feet touch the ground while my head comes to the top of the chair. If you are taller than 5’6 it might look a little weird and you may be too tall for the chair. I also think woman with bigger hips may have difficulty with this chair as the seat might not fit you. If you are bigger than a women’s 14-16 (US size), I don’t think you’d fit only because it is much narrower than other “recliners.” This also applies to the arm rests but again this is perfect for young adult women/men on the petite side and would make a great addition to a teenager’s room/a basement where friends come over to play videogames. This chair is exactly what I needed, but might not be best for you if you are not really relating to this review. This chair is perfect for apartments, dorms, or other small spaces such as a nursery. You could easily use this chair to breast feed in or nap with a baby. It does not “rock” though. It is very easy to recline and stand back up, however you just “push.” There are no levers on the sides like more traditional recliners. It is exactly what I needed but if you need a more “substantial” chair this isn’t it. I hope this helps! Thanks for coming to my TED talk!!!
