Gorgeous!
I love this light. The value for the money was great and it was super easy to install. The quality and matte black was exactly what I was looking for. While I had to buy the light bulbs separately it is bright and functions wonderfully would highly recommend!

Would not recommend
The light is very cute and really wish it worked for our space because it would have been perfect, however the components are so cheaply made it does not stay together. The connection rods to adjust the height separate the moment we put them on the ceiling… twice.

disappointed
The down-rods were 'stripped'. Had a difficult time getting them to thread with plumbers tape. We'll see if they hold! One of the arms wasn't working. Got it to work and now another arm has gone dead. Cute light but doubt it will last long. Bought for my grand daughters room. Disappointed with the quality and difficulty.

Awesome price - still working on which light bulbs to use though - any recommendation?

Poorly engineered, clearly not tested but since improved
UPDATE:While the below initial review holds true, the response from the company and their promise to re-engineer it is truly remarkable. It took a few months, but they took our review seriously and made improvements. They then sent us a new one with longer threads on the arms. This has been my best customer service experience ever, so I've changed my rating to 4 stars. My wife loves mid-century modern and was very taken with this fun-looking light fixture. Obviously, it could not be shipped assembled so it was designed so that the arms screw into the central ball. A good idea. However, at some point in the design process they decided to add a crimped flange to each arm, just beyond the thread. This was likely to prevent over-tightening or stressing the wiring excessively. Unfortunately, they apparently didn’t take into consideration the shortened effective thread length that produced on the arms. As a consequence, if you can get two turns of thread into the ball mount you’re doing very well. The actual thread penetration and contact on most of the arms is probably less than 1/8”. The slightest bump, or even changing a bulb may result in an arm falling off and thread being stripped to the point to where it can’t be reconnected via its original mode. I knew it was dicey when we put it together but. . . anything for the Mrs. The inevitable happened during installation. A very light touch against my body climbing the ladder and disaster. One arm fell off and could no longer be threaded onto the ball. In an attempt to fix, and keep marital harmony, I built an aluminum collar that fit inside the light arm and into the ball. I’ve secured it with JB Weld. It worked, but this beast probably won’t last long. Likely be heading for the landfill shortly after the first bulb change knocks another arm or two off the fixture. It’s unfortunate. This was a totally unnecessary and preventable problem. Another 1/4” of accessible thread on each arm and I would likely be singing its praises. As it is, unless you enjoy reengineering faulty products, I can’t recommend purchasing.Full Disclosure: I acquired this as a Vine user. While we pay nothing up front for products, it is counted as taxable income at the retail price. This generally means Vine members pay about 30% of retail in taxes. We take our reviewing seriously and endeavor to assess quality to the best of our abilities. As consumers we rely on other peoples reviews, so we try to return the favor. Our Ratings Criteria:1 star. Lowest we can give, recommendation against purchasing2 stars. Meh minus. Has some major downside or flaws3 stars. Meh. Not great, has some issues but you may find it useful4 stars. Meets expectations, works as designed, no major or obvious issues, a reasonable choice5 stars. Exceeds expectations, highly recommended purchase.

Poor Quality Control
Looks like there was no quality control. Half of it is scratched up. It was packaged well, so it could've been a repackaged item sold as new.One of the arms had a disconnected, frayed wire, as well.

One arm not working
One arm of the fixture doesn’t work - tried with multiple bulbs. Now it’s a pain to take down and replace the fixture…Other than that, make sure the ceiling is high enough for clearance, as it hangs down a lot to allow room for the branches that slope upward toward the ceiling. Other similar fixtures have the branches on the top facing straight outward as opposed to sloped upward to account for this issue. If all the branches were functional, I would likely keep it. The fact that it hangs so low would definitely annoy me though. My kids have a bunk bed and I would be worried that they’ll hit it on their way up and down the ladder. I will be returning it.Update:The seller fully refunded my money without having to uninstall and return it. Customer service is A+
