Can't say enough good things about this Redford Supply product. After 2 unusually ultra-cold freezes in Houston, TX these last 2 winters, my irrigation system did not survive. The cost of repair to get the system operational again after the first freeze was very high, also with the Water Board inspection, and the house was without water service for 4 days. It was almost like camping! Anyway, went looking for extra adequate protective covers and found this bell cover plus two other back-flow preventer complete covers by Redford Supply. Am ready for anything global warming related weather cold snaps thanks to Redford Supply!!

Good product, like the advertised.

This cold snap cover is well made. It features a heavy canvas exterior with grommeted tie downs and a metal reflective oil interior. I could totally see using something like this if the temperature is going to dip below the safe zone for a storm, but you want to keep your sprinklers up and running. I would not advise using this in place of blowing out your sprinklers, but good in a pinch. This particular one is a little small for my backflow preventer, but that isn't a detraction. Detraction I just need to order a larger size.

This product is made from high grade materials throughout. I got this for my outdoors propane gas regulator which gets leaked on by water dripping from the roof and sometimes freezes up during the winter. I'm confident that this will successfully take care of the problem. 5 stars!
