Raspberry Pi5 8GB

I wish I had discovered raspberry pie a lot earlier than I did (last six months or so) and I’m not very computer literate but with AI and the programming games and different programs I’ve created some exciting versatile projects.Assembling your pie is a piece of cake however you’re gonna want a Raspberry Pi or Argon fan (both of which are very quiet) but even with a good aluminum case assembly is easy.I also recommend you get a distinguished brands name accessory like a Rasp Pi power cord. When it’s literally the main cord we can’t go wrong.. although I do get the higher watt adapter for future power hungry operations.Using and programming your Pi is a learning curve. I jumped in feet first, but you know it’s off-line and I’m having fun.

I love this thing. I have some pretty powerful PCs (ryzen 9 with 4070 Ti super 64g) and a laptop ryzen 5 and still use this a lot. I downloaded the raspberry pie operating system, opened a window and litterly copied and pasted all my software updates from Google. I have used it as a regular PC for internet surfing, U tube bit am now using it as a gaming system with a Sonicon chip that has 12,000 games on it. Very cheep, works just like a desktop. I even am using my desktop monitor and my monitor will automatically switch between my PC and pie 5. This is an awesome alternative to a laptop or PC on top of being an amazing gaming rig or project board. I should have bought one years ago. The operating system for PC use is just like windows. I swap my chips between gaming and PC use. It has low power draw and would be great for traveling too. Highly recommend.

Absolutely phenomenal for a mini server to run a 24/7 Curseforge Minecraft server for the boys and I. We have 60 medium-heavy mods.. struggled to procedurally generate, so I transferred the server to my gaming PC, used chunky to pre generate 500,000 chunks, now this little guy runs like a dream!

This is a great product. When you buy this buy the raspberry Pi power brand power supply. The others don't work or put out correct power. The screen will show low voltage to you. I bought the plug and play touch screen. That did exactly what it said.Recommend cordless keyboard

I bought this to run Home Assistant and it came up and discovered most of my controllable devices automatically. I haven't tested it much beyond that and using one of the HDMI ports to see status information. So far it works great.The packaging scared me for a moment. It comes in a thin cardboard box with no padding, and that was inside a thin plastic pouch. The box was partially crushed, but I checked for bent pins and everything looks perfect.

bought the 8gb version. The SD card slot is slow and you will notice the lag if you are using an SD card as you boot for a desktop machine. I recommend either an PCie SSD or you use a USB to SATA SSD the performance with that is totally usable as a desktop replacement handles 1080p with no issues and runs Firefox and Ubuntu like a champ but that drive is the bottle neck.

Good, as expected

It's the latest iteration of the pi we love. The pro's 2 hdmi ports. The cons, they are the mini ports, so you need adapters, or get a case that has a board to convert to full size.Oh, and its expensive. I know that everything has gone up in price, and it's more advance. It just seems they've gone a long way from the cheap in expensive rpi that you could get for $25 and moved into a new world of forget the price, we can charge what we want for the product.
