These were a last-minute purchase for a heatwave holiday to Spain. I had no idea what a rash vest was before last week, basically, it is a t-shirt which can be worn for swimming that gives a high level of protection against the sun. These come in a range of bright colours and give good coverage of the neck/should/back sunburn problem areas. the material is quite thick and stretchy - very similar to swimsuit material but a bit thicker. I bought these for my 7-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son. I would say they were a good fit but in their initial excitement to try them on (these look great and my kids loved wearing them) they put the wrong ones on and the fit still seemed fine, it is fair to say, thanks to the stretch in the material, there is a lot of leeway in the sizing. These were worn pretty much all day every day, in the pool and out (they dry quickly after washing too) - my kids don't even have a tan on the areas covered and no-one got sunburnt (we are Scottish so that is quite an achievement).One tiny criticism - after only a few hours in the pool, the Mountain Warehouse logo on the front came off - other than that these garments stood up to the rigours of very heavy use quite well.

Love this beach rash t-shirt! Will buy next size up in a couple years as can't be withoutone now.It kept my daughter warm in cold UK sea over her cossie, and kept her sunscreened when on beach in baking sun whilst on beach , for a lovely week's holiday. It dried quickly draped over side of beach windbreak in the heat after swimming for over an hour, she had it back on again within 35 mins, it dried far quicker than normal t-shirts or towels.It kept her warm in the wind whilst building a fort later in the afternoon when clouds had gathered. It kept sun off of her in beach and in the sea.Daughter loved the style and chose it herself out of all the options (pink and blue - fab!)I usually have girls who get cold- or if a baking sun, I risk them getting burnt even with wayerproof factor 30 or 60 on - that I have to drag them off beach after a few hours- but we stayed all day as their legs don't seem to catch sun in same way as shoulders and back. (Also had hats on them).

The top fits great and looks great. Lovely colours, nice material. Marked down a star and the packet, outside and inside absolutely stinks of smoke. The delivery man clearly smokes in his van and it was so strong. Thank goodness it hadn’t reached the garment itself or I would be returning it.

Were allowed to wear in poolsand on water slides where most hotels don't allow you to go in wearing normal t-shirtsWashed well and didn't change shape.Only thing to watch out for is sizing.Having looked at previous reviews opted for age 13 (son's average size 10yr olds)Fit as a normal t-shirt, will possibly last for next year.Older son is 14 and ordered him a medium mens which fit as normal t-shirt too.

Arrived quickly and is good quality. Ordered a size bigger than needed because my son doesn't like the snug sung fit (even though it's meant to be!) so if if you want a snug fit then order the correct size.Would order again.
