Crazy value, if you get it on sale.
Absolutely floored by 500~ pieces for 5.99 with the 80% off going on right now. Got 10 and making my own DIY pirate bay pier for funsies. My inner 11 year old is going crazy over how the parts quality actually feels rather nice.Quality matches how I remember The Usual Brand is, and maybe even better than getting used stuff from the 90's. Clutch is solid, no miscast parts. No minis other than the animals, unfortunately. A great mix of weird specialized pieces and basic pieces that get better when purchased in multiples. Some really crazy parts like glowing spears and some clever things like the spike trap I wasn't expecting from a bargain pile of bricks.Only issues are the instruction manual is horribly bent and so are the stickers. But hey, for 6 dollars who needs instructions. If I paid full price, this would be a deal breaker though. Doesn't seem to be any printed parts, which is sorta meh.Hey, if you catch this deal, who can say no to like 5000 bricks for 60 dollars? At full price it's an ehhh, but on sale it's exactly what I needed to get transported back to the childhood I always wanted.

Fun, engaging set!
This set is great for getting your kids off electronics for awhile. Between building and then playing pirates, you have a couple hours before they are complaining about being bored again. The set is easy enough for an 8-9 year old to build. Younger builders may require assistance. The bricks are compatible with Lego.

Neat set!
I have an underwater Lego display and totally made use of this set to add to the sunken ships in my display. While I sorta broke it up, it is also a really cool above-water pirate port for your legos as well! The instructions are a little to hard to follow at times, but all the pieces were there, and it looks really cute when completed. Overall, very happy with this set.

Not lego
Ordered thinking this was lego brand. Ot was not. Pieces missing and very hard to get pieces to hook together

Did NOT disappoint!
Kids are home for the week on a short break. Order this and a couple other pirate themed sets with the same branding. The difficulty rating/recommendation is spot on. The 8 yr old is able to work his set with very minimal assistance. The five year old needed some hands on help. The directions are relatively easy to follow. These blocks interchange with popular name brand and the kits were SO much more reasonable on price point. I would certainly buy this and other kits again.

Frustrating
My 10 year old grandson has hundreds of Lego sets and is a pro builder. He was so frustrated with this set. I took over and soon wondered how he had lasted so long. Cute set, but the pieces will not stay together. Try to adjust one piece and the others come apart. If I could I would return the set. Bags are not numbered, pieces missing and the instructions do not show the colors clearly. I will not buy this brand again.

Decent gift for a pirate fan
My daughter (and I) are super into One Piece and she is really getting into building sets. I didnt want an expensive one as she is 6 and I wasnt sure it would be a hit. Dad has had to help with this a bit as it is a lot of pieces and gets a bit overwhelming. So my review is based on my observations while they were building it. The look is great. The pieces mostly hold up well but some come apart a little easier than I would prefer based on the frustration tone levels I would hear from my husband at times.the directions seemed pretty straight forward and well laid out--I never heard a "WTF are they talking about" type of comment. It is still being put together but so far no lost pieces. It has been a multi day event for them so I feel we certainly got longevity value here. My kiddo is able to piece things together if dad sorts out the pieces that she needs and so far it is going well. I was super glad because I really do not want to pay the prices a certain name brand feels entitled to charge. All in all no complaints.
