I gave this a one star rating, because I guess the other brushes and picks work. However, I bought this SPECIFICALLY for COPPER BRUSHES, which this listing specifically says it has. NO, IT DOES NOT!! It has steel, bronze, nylon and phospher brushes.Copper is necessary to clean rust. I'm ashamed to admit it, but I got rust on one of my guns. That's what happens when you store your gun in a softsided case and the cat pees on it. Amonia (from the cat pee) doesn't react well with metal from the barrel of my .22 rifle. No, I'm not going to shoot the cat.A gunsmith friend showed me a trick: Get a REAL COPPER penny (pre some date, I can't remember), not a newer penny made from copper alloys. Use any old gun oil, rub the penny on it, and the rust is just gone. Really cool trick, actually. I'm not sure how the chemistry of this works, but it does.So, I really didn't want to deal with a penny (pre some date that I can't remember), and I decided that a copper brush would work much better. So I bought these (twice, actually, I lost the first package), specifically because they say that they have a copper brush, right in the listing. The package tells a different story: Nylon, steel, bronze and phospher.So, if you're looking for normal, everyday gun cleaning brushes and picks, I'm sure that this will work fine. HOWEVER, THEY DO NOT INCLUDE A COPPER BRUSH!! BUYER BEWARE!!

If you clean your gun often as I do, you really don't do a lot of scrubbing in-between range visits. That said these brushes have worked great for normal use and I would recommend them. Now the wire brushes a sparse at one end for tight spots, and the other end could be thicker but they work just fine as is. I would not recommend if you are cleaning 10 guns at a time multiple times a week as I believe they would wear out quicker than a high dollar brush. As for my use of cleaning two guns weekly, I believe they will last at least the year if not longer. I don't worry about rushing home to clean everything knowing that I have the scrubbing power if needed. I pieced together my own cleaning kit through amazon and saved a great deal of money over the higher-priced kits, and these brushes were part of it. For under 40 bucks I was able to put together a kit with everything that the 99.00 kits had.I recommend these and have had no issues with them at all. They clean as expected and don't damage the gun or leave brush marks. How long they last will depend on the use of course.

The hard brushes are hard, the soft brushes are soft and the picks are just right in that they are firm but not hard enough to cause any scratches. If you need dental picks then these will be too flexible for you however if they were as hard and firm as dental picks then I would not have ordered them. When you add in the price these went from great this is what I need to wow, fantastic I'm getting what I need at the best price imaginable. You want something to help you clean your gun, these are great, don't hesitate to buy.

I have a rifle that needed a good cleaning it covered in cosmoline so the little picks and smaller brushes worked well

Brushes are great, the picks are garbage. The value is still there, however. I bought this set and then ordered the 4 piece Tipton pick set for $5. Still a good value. Just understand that the picks will break almost immediately. The brushes are awesome and worth the total asking price.

I had some concerns about the durability of some of the tools in this package. While it's true that I may not be confident in the long term durability of the brushes, they are at a price point that makes them a great value, even if they need to be replaced down the road. I brought this concern to the seller and the seller responded quickly and created a very fair resolution. You're encouraged to give this product and seller a try as they stand behind their product. Some of the tools in this kit are very useful, and any concerns about durability are probably the nature of the beast with any manufacturer's tools of this nature. These are worth the shot, for the dental pick alone.

I like this item because it added tools that I needed for my gun cleaning kit.
