Madd CappPuzzles - I AM Elephant - 700 pieces - Animal Shaped Jigsaw Puzzle

I wanted to love this puzzle. I’m not sure if Amazon gets the crappy returned puzzles or what since I bought the Lion version of the puzzle at the store and had no problems. This one (purchased through amazon) is just awful. The pieces all fit together, whether or not they’re right. And there are a lot of damaged pieces. It seems as though someone already tried this particular puzzle, had the same problem, yanked them apart and then sent it back. That or the pieces were all exposed to too much humidity. I’m going to pick up a new one at the same store I got my lion puzzle from.UPDATE: Picked up a new Elephant puzzle from the same store I bought the lion one. Suspicions confirmed. The quality is markedly better than the one purchased from Amazon, which I’m returning. Pay the extra couple bucks and buy this in store.

I really liked this puzzle when I started. It is harder than expected - peices fit in spots they don't belong and all the peices are shaped the same - except the edges. I was doing great until I got down to the last few peices. I am missing one peice and had 5 extra peices. How does that even happen? I made one of the extra peices work by smashing it into the spot but if you look, you can see the color match is off. Would have given 5 stars had all the peices been there and I didn't have extras to throw me off.

First time doing a puzzle as such. The tricky part is that you can't assemble this the way you usually start a puzzle, by starting with the border lol you CANNOT start this one with the border since the inner pieces keep the border together. That's what made this puzzle very refreshing to assemble it was something different. Didn't use the usual glue, used peel off stick it paper to keep the finished puzzle together. It looks amazing and doesn't even look like a puzzle. Would do it again anytime. If you like puzzles...... get one of these you will be more than happy you did. Now I do have to say the pieces are very sensitive. First order of this puzzle had defective pieces, but one quick phone call to amazon and they shipped out a replacement right away and I returned the defective one. Job well done amazon!!!

We loved this puzzle. We have stacks of puzzles. Worked on them before Corona and just added more in the last two years. This elephant puzzle is delightful and beautiful. It does take up a lot of space. I took over half of the kitchen table with the extension in and it was perfect. It is one of our favorites. My husband did not want me to take it apart (he has never voiced an opinion before so it is special)!

I bought this for my girlfriend that likes puzzles thinking that this will be a unique one. Apparently it's quite challenging so it's taking a while, but the piece print is good and looks solid.

The puzzle pieces look nothing like the picture. Colors are deceptive. The scale and edge is even wrong. Difficult to put together and we do difficult puzzles mostly. The pieces are mostly same shape which I have done many before but with the poor color to picture thing it makes it crazy.

These puzzles are amazing! The lion was very, very hard, and the tiger was difficult as well. The elephant wasn’t as difficult, but it is very big so you need a big table. I will definitely be getting more of these.

UPDATE --- MADD Capp Games contacted me immediately after the unhappy post was posted and has offered to make a refund. My experience still is that they ship incomplete puzzles - twice there were missing pieces but they were quick to respond to me and will make a refund for their mistake. Puzzle is extremely difficult and is even more FRUSTRATING to find that not all the pieces are in the box. I will not try again with another elephant.
