Works perfectly. Thanks.
Exactly what I needed. Metal is just the right hardness to take a good edge and hold it for a while.Updated because I thought I had given 5 stars, but showed up as one!

Good quality steel
Used this steel to successfully make a flat hammer spring for a antique single shot shotgun. I tried bending the steel when clamped into a vise to test how it would spring back so I bent it to about a quarter circle shape (90 degrees) and it sprung back well without permanent bend so I knew this would work well as a spring. I then heated the steel up in a furnace and cooled it slowly to soften it so I could cut a strip out with a hack saw and then bend the strip into my desired shape, heated the strip up again to red/orange hot and quenched it in oil, then finished by tempering it with a blow torch to light blue (600 degrees F). Total success, now my father has a functioning shotgun!

personal preferences
They work fine but next time I'd get the ones that are a little more flexible. Being this stiff, the corners can leave small gouges. I couldn't get them to curve/bend so I had to dull down the ends of the cutting edges. Not trying to slam the product, maybe it's just a matter of my personal skills.

Best tools in shop
I have not found anything that I disliked about the French Spring Steel Scrapers. They work great and leave a smooth surface much better than my old ones.I highly recommend them and Taylor Toolworks.

I can't get a shaving just powder
I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I can sharpen anything usually. Japanese cutlery, plane blades, and axes. But I can't get this scraper to work well. I watched some video demos. I used a fine file to square it up. Next, a diamond plate to remove the file marks and burrs on the sides. The corners were nice smooth and sharp after that. I burnished the edge at 5 degree just the way the video guy demonstrated. He was getting nice fine curls off of hard oak. I'm just getting powder. Is it the wood? I'm working on a sewing machine cabinet made in 1938. It's not hard wood. The scraper is leaving a nice shiny finish and just not making any curls. Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

Too thick to bend by hand
In order to use a card scraper, you have to be able to bend it! Unfortunately, these scrapers are too stiff to use by hand. The only way to get a proper bend in these scrapers is to mount them in a holder.

Perfect for the job.
Scraping the old scratched finish off of a table, I didn’t want to use stripper. Can’t wait to get the job finished.
