The Lost Art of Resurrection: Initiation, Secret Chambers, and the Quest for the Otherworld

The Initiations and The Way
I enjoyed the book immensely. The author does a fine job discussing the various ancient cultures and their initiation ceremonies. We've lost our path in the modern age that's for sure. Our infatuation with gadgets and speed makes it difficult for most to understand the practical spiritual focus of the ancient high cultures. Egypt and India were the lands of the ancient wisdom. The pre-pharonic era is lost to time. The ancient wisdom still thrives in esoteric India. Silva discusses with great disapproval the decision made many centuries ago by the Catholic Church to avoiding discussing the true meaning of The Death and the mystical Resurrection (The Rebirth, Awakening). The Church doesn't teach the intensely mystical beliefs of it's parentage. The Gnostic Gospels are the repository of those early Christian beliefs and are not easily understood. They should be brought back into the Church's core. This book could have been shorter with condensing but I'm quibbling. It's time well spent.

If you love KNOWLEDGE, you'll love Freddy Silva's books
These books are based on solid research, and are overflowing with information. In contrast to many other 'alternative-history' authors, Silva's books are all SUBSTANCE and no fluff. Every sentence carries some knowledges, no flowery rhetoric and empty, contrarian theories. If you watch his videos, you'll see what I mean, as they are the same way - just profoundly educational, very well done, and wonderfully presented. Just beware, sometimes it does feel like they were written in Portuguese and translated into English maybe not too skillfully, but if you take a moment, you'll get the meaning. Highly recommend.

A very intriquing Book.
A very good read. Very interesting and it all makes sense and feels right. It does fly in the face with the current versions and myths of Christianity, so if you are steadfast to those this is not a book you would apprecieate. If you are open to a different truer perspective and looking for great insight into the lost mysticism of Christianity this will help you put the pieces together. I very much enjoyed it and give it a high rating. I got to meet the author and he is a very real heartfelt man with an impressive drive to research and discover.

Outstanding exploration of the truths of ancient spiritual traditions.
This book is for anyone who wants to know the history of ancient practices of spiritual growth through "dying" and then returning to life as an ascended person while still living. Freddy Silva does an outstanding job in documenting the ancient practices that have come down to modern times from the Egyptians, the ancient Hindus, the Essenes, Native Americans, the Maya, and many others, including the esoteric action of Jesus prior to the Catholic Church's distortions of his life, death and resurrection. This is a book for those who know we haven't been told the truth by our religions. As more and more people leave their religions, seeking the truth of what and who we are, this book gives a lot of information that helps in that endeavor. We are in a stage of great spiritual growth and desire to know what the ancients knew that can help us on our path to greater awareness.

Outdated
Bought this book after emailing author’s website a question and they recommended this book. Not a single thing in it provided the info I said I was looking for or anything that is new. It is 6 years old and info travels so fast today that it is really old news. It is okay if you are new to religious or mythical studies and don’t want to watch social media videos due to all the commercials.

Superb research.
Having read Freddy Silva's book, First Templar Nation, which made more sense than any other Templar book I have read, and there are many, I wanted more. So, I read The Lost Art of Resurrection and I was not disappointed. The research that goes into his books is phenomenal. There's a lot to take in, and some of it I re-read, but basically I could not put it down. For those that are looking for the facts that make sense then I suggest you read this book. Historians do not like their facts to be changed, it is as if they are set in stone, well Freddy Silva puts dynamite under them.

Good Premise
I have loved all of Freddy Silvas books but alas liked this one the least. While I agree with the resurrection premise and laughed out loud (in agreement) with his take on Christianity and the Church (what a welcome relief) the book did begin to feel a bit repetitive after a while. Unavoidable if you're reporting the same factors around the globe I guess. Also some of the information on certain areas seemed a bit scanty and left you thirsting for more, where you know the author does know more, as can be derived from Legacy of the Gods. The section on Mexico particularly suffered for this. Otherwise aside from a few typos, I'd say the author is onto something of fundamental importance and understanding to not only history but man's current plight. Keep up the good work Freddy, just get a new proof reader.

A Great and Blissful Read
This is the fourth book I read from the author, the content is well in line with the proposal, and well documented. But the main thing here is how hopeful you can get by acquiring a general view of what initiates did on their search for truth, and could be achieved by ourselves once decided to pay the price for. Highly recommended!
