Bought these to replace q accoustic 3010s but cant get them to sound as good. Perhaps my room is too small. Any suggestions ?

Hi there. Hope I can help. You don't mention how long you have had the speakers ? Like most speakers of this class they will need a period of 'running in'. If you look at the manual that came with them it will give advice on this and other things such as placement and technical specs. I found that when I hooked mine up I wasn't particularly blown away by the sound either but with continuous use the sound does actually get better. I find that this applies to most audio equipment. My Monitor Audio amp on first hearing sounded like old tin cans but with continuous use sounds great now. Also when replacing quality speakers like the 3010's you may find that your ears are so tuned to them that what you are hearing now is very different to what you were hearing before. Each make of speaker has different qualities. I find the Spektors have to be driven a little harder but in my opinion are very good at handling all types of music with clarity and precision even at reasonably low volumes. I would say that the 3010's are a bit more dynamic whereas the Spektors are a little bit more subtle. I'm no audiophile but I would say decent speaker cable (You probably have this already but it's worth a mention) makes a difference with quality speakers like these. That's not to say you should spend hundreds of pounds. There is lots of good cable at reasonable prices out there. Room size may matter but as long you're not sitting right on top of them it shouldn't be too much of a problem as they can be put on shelves or stand mounted. I hope this helps. What is the bass performance like on these speakers? I've heard that Dali's aren't always great for that

One word - Incredible. I’ve owned many table top speakers in the past and the quality you got from these totally outweighs the price. If these aren’t the bargain of the year, I don’t know what is.
