Installation easier than expected
After much deliberation, procrastination and a few glasses of wine, I decided it would be much easier to cover the glass doors to the craproom than clean out the crap. And I was right. But nervous. I read a lot of reviews stating this stuff was hard to use and stuck to itself and made a mess with the water, etc. I didn’t find any of that to be the case at all.I ordered a roll for each door, held it up and eyeballed it and then cut the whole dang strip lengthwise. I taped it to the wood above the glass insert at the top of the door, sprayed a healthy volume of fine mist water from a travel size spray bottle and grabbed a credit card to squeegee the film to the door and swoosh out the droplets. Had a microfiber towel on hand to wipe away the excess water. It was easier than expected. Just keep watching the sides and make sure it’s lined-up. At the bottom of the glass I eyeballed it, cut off the unused portion and stuck it down using the same water method. Done. The next door I decided to try a different tactic. Because why keep using one that works when you can potentially screw it up, right? Yeah, so I cut as I went. Still taped the top of the roll to the wood at the top of the door to hold it in place while I was lining it up. Then I stuck one side flush to the edge and cut the other side with an exacto knife as I was sticking it to the glass. I made some bad cuts and you can tell but that’s not the point. The point is, the first way worked much better. The film stuff is very easily manipulated, easy to lift off and re-stick many (many) times. The tape at the top was a huge help. The crap inside the room is still visible, but blurred and not screaming at people when they come in the front door, like before the film. (Those were dark days.) The opaqueness is perfect for jambling the contents of the room, rendering the books, crafts, books, pens, books, I’m not sure what all is in there stuff colorful but not identifiable. Perfect!!!I’m trying to get a good pic that doesn’t make it look like it’s not stuck in some places, because it is! This hasn’t lifted or peeled or done bad things at all. It’s been weeks and all I have noticed is the peace and tranquility of the mess-free happy place. So in conclusion, we are very pleased with this project (especially my hubby who just glides past the doors now as if they are a fine piece of art). Hmmm, what else I can hide instead of clean….*Pic shows light from the open windows inside the room, the film is stuck very well to the glass inserts. Oh, and they are beveled glass too so that’s extra cool. You can make out the white cabinets and colored stuff but photo also shows the jambling. It’s beautiful science.** For those who are curious, I applied the film to the inside of the doors. Guess you could do both sides for extreme jambling.

Optic creates convincing 3-d reeded effect. Nice
Beautiful-the reeded effect is optical. This window film is flat, but I caught myself working bubbles out along the ridges, like they are real. Bubbles worked out easily. Directions were limited to use lots of water, was good advice. East to apply, used wallpaper edge tool and an craft knife. Gives privacy and lets light through. Love it!!

Great solution, tedious if you are a perfectionist
Overall, I am very happy with this product. I did not want to have a curtain hanging in the basement bathroom anymore, but still wanted privacy because you can see him through the backyard. This really makes the space feel less cluttered. It is an older basement and doesn’t have large windows, so this was a good way to ditch the curtains. The overall application process was very basic and simple to follow. You simply cut to size, apply water to the window and press the bubbles from the center of the film to the edges. It can be tedious if your windows have a small strip of seal that make the windows not perfectly square, which is the issue that I ran into. In order to get no bubbles, you have to take your time and be very precise with making sure there is no excess overhang , otherwise, you will end up with bubbles. I did end up with a few small bubbles, which are not visible from far away. If you are a perfectionist, seeing the bubbles might bother you if you can’t get them all out.Initially, I wanted to use it to cover the textured shower door that we have. But you need a smooth surface for this to really adhere to. If there are any dips, you will have tons of air bubbles and it will not take on the nice line texture (which is the pattern I purchased), You will see the texture below if the surface you are adhering to isn’t smooth. When I made mistakes, it was very easy to remove and retry applying. There is no sticky adhesive on these, which makes for a mess free application. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase. I would buy this again.

Glass Look Without The Glass Price
Nice reeded glass look without the reeded glass price. Used in my bathroom windows for a bit of privacy without reducing the amount of light that came in. This was perfect! The grid pattern made it easy to cut to the perfect size and it was easy to apply to the window. I had no issues with bubbling.

GOOD CHOICE
LOOKS LIKE TESTURED GLASS. I put this on the inside of my TV fireplace table that had open cut on the doors. I want to hide what was on the shelves inside the cabinet. Looks great. I just taped it onto the inside of the doors. I didn't want the rool that was sticky because that would grab onto all dust particles. This worked exactly how I envisioned , great price and easy to cut and apply

Privacy and easy to install
This is easy to use and provide just the right amount of privacy but allow light to penetrate. It’s very easy to use these products. Unroll, measure, cut, peel the protective cover, and wet the window and film. And squeegee it to remove extra water and it looks amazing.

Looks great but difficult film to work with
My husband works in the automotive field so he’s an expert at applying this stuff, has all the right tools. Did another brand at our daughter’s house and it was easy. While I love the finished look, and the privacy provided, this is very difficult to work with due to the thickness of the material.
