Citizen Eco-Drive Promaster Diver Quartz Mens Watch, Stainless Steel with Polyurethane strap, Black (Model: BN0085-01E)

This is a great watch, I'm proud of mine. It is powered by almost any light, and once it's fully charged, it can store it's charge for up to six months in darkness. I've had good results with the glow in the dark luminous dots on the hands and hour marks. I charged the glow with my flashlight for a couple of minutes, the glow remained visible for over an hour and a half, both times when I was in a dark yard watching meteors over two moonless nights. They were still going well, and would have lasted longer but it was time to come in. I've not had a chance to take it scuba diving. I have taken it swimming in the lake and as expected, it held up well. The band is a flexible rubber. It's long enough to go over a wetsuit wrist. It has a retainer loop which works well to keep the long end down when it's on a bare wrist. The numbered bezel turns one direction, and stays where you set it, as expected for a scuba watch. I think I'd be able to easily work it even if wearing scuba gloves. The stem has two settings, one to set the date number, the other to set the time. The crystal is clear. I don't know if it's officially nonreflective, but the watch is easy to read in bright sunlight when tilted slightly. It is also easy to read in moonless darkness. It's a beautiful watch. I like the design of the whole watch. The crystal is surface level as you'd expect, inside and under that, the watch is deep with minute marks around the inner circumference which makes it look really nice. They picked pleasing designs for the hands, and a nice font for the bezel numbers. It even has some fine lines detailing on the faceplate behind the hands, where a lot of watches have a plain flat plate. I really like my watch.

I'm constantly searching for new watches and I'm very specific about what i like and what use I'm going to give to it. I researched for an everyday watch that was sporty looking and easy to read. Also, I wanted to make sure that if I placed it in my case for a week, that it will still have the correct time and date. This watch offers that and more. The look is incredible, the comfort is superb and it looks very durable and not heavy on your wrist. This is my second solar power watch and they both wort great without having to worry about the mechanism or automatic watch issues and you store them away. This watch offers a casual and sporty look and the size will fit most small wrist. Lastly, you can not beat the price and the reliability it offers. Awesome.

Looks great, nice size & weight, wears well and great price for a very good all around dive watch Been diving (recreational & instructor) since the "60's and Citizen has always had an excellent reputation as a dive watch. Always a recommendation to students and never heard any negative feedback. Have not taken this watch diving but my expectations are as high as in years past. Ordered an additional band with the watch because of its curve and to avoid the inconvenience of replacement should it ever require same. (Always have a back-up and a plan.) I own a few other dive watches of varying capabilities and price ranges but Citizen (and Seiko), in my humble opinion, satisfy the requirements of the overwhelming majority of recreational divers and those who dive for scientific research, tactical requirements etc. If one is looking for a dive WATCH not a wrist smart phone capable device capable of providing stock prices, a review of your portfolio, texting friends know that at 60' you have to pee etc, then this is a very good choice.

This watch is phenomenal. It is a lot more beautiful in person than it is featured on Amazon. It is a beautiful dive watch. Much more so than many of the other dive watches I have personally seen. Before purchasing the watch I was a bit concerned about the size, being that it is 47 mm and pretty thick. However, it does not feel overly large on my wrist. You definitely notice it there, but if you like larger watches it is not a problem. The build quality of the watch is fantastic. Of course the Japanese quartz movement with eco-drive sells itself (or should). The mineral glass quality and steel casing feel extremely solid and well-built. Everything about this watch indicates high quality. I purchased it for roughly $175. It is worth this price and more, in my opinion. If I could give the watch itself more than 5 stars I absolutely would. HOWEVER, the one glaring complaint I have about this watch is the band quality. The band itself does not fit very well, and is not all that comfortable. The clasp is nice quality, and aesthetically pleasing. But unfortunately the rest of the band just is not comfortable at all. As I said, the watch itself deserves all the praise I can possibly muster. As a bit of a watch junkie I am EXTREMELY pleased with this watch, and would absolutely not hesitate to recommend this watch to anyone that wants a high quality watch for a GREAT price. It easily feels like it should be worth a heftier price tag. However, I can't give it a perfect rating, simply for the band alone. The band may not bother other purchasers, but it is definitely a disappointment for me. I have already begun looking into replacement bands, which will add to the overall price tag. Still, I am confident with a proper band it will be worth a perfect rating and more. Also, in case it causes any pause for concern, setting the time and date on this watch is extremely simple and easy. If the lumens on the face are of any concern, I can also say that after exposure to any sort of sun light the face glows very well. I have not tested the watch in water to see how well it holds up. For everyday purposes this watch feels very sturdy and reliable, while also looking extremely classy and beautiful.

I use this watch as my daily watch. Keeps great time, looks great and was inexpensive.

This is the second Citizen divers watch that I've owned and like the last one I can't fault it. These watches are extremely well made and works just as well as other makes that sell for much more. The Eco Drive system works well. All it needs is occasional daylight to keep it going.It is big. But it is bound to be as it's made to work at depths of 1,000 feet. The strap is a good length and has enough adjustment to enable you to wear directly on your wrist or over the wrist band of your wetsuit.If you want a well made watch for serious diving that you can also wear every day then this will fit the bill. If you want a brand that will impress people in the pub look elsewhere.
