works as intended
purchased to replace possible bad jacks, the ratchet function was a nice touch though don't get the need behind the jacks plug..

Misleading
They say these are tool free but you still need crumpets and very skinny cutters, on my case it seemed if you had too much excess it prevented it from closing correctly and in a couple cases I had to close the unit with pliers to get it to seat all the way. Once it is seated completely though the clear case and ratchet strap operate smoothly and connection tested good

Good Quality Keystone Jacks
I prefer jacks to couplers for (semi and) permanent installations (home and pro). I ordered these for a home project. I used a few feet of some old scrap 5e for testing (assuming 24 AWG).- The “tool-less” claim is accurate in that these don’t require a 110/punch-down tool…though a common punch-down tool only costs $10-15, and you’ll still need a razor/knife to remove the cable sheathing, and also some side-cutters/scissors/razor to trim the excess wires from the sides of the connector top-plate. (I suppose you don’t “have to” trim the wires, but I’d never not…see photos).- I have a punch down tool, and have punched down hundreds of keystone jacks. So whether trimming the sheathing…and lining up the wires in a standard keystone jack, or in the top-plate for these (and then trimming the sides on these, since a the punch tool isn’t cutting/trimming the wires)…I’m not sure if one is “significantly” more convenient over the other…but I admit that these are more convenient, with a small/fair margin. Both take a little bit of time for sheath removal and wire placement, but both are also simple to do. And, of course, there is no wire punching with these. And these are convenient for keeping tight/short placement of the wire terminations with respect to the wire twists, and flush to the sheathing…especially for novices. So the comparison goes to these over standard jacks.- The housing/chassis on these connectors is more sleek/rounded-corners/self-contained compared to standard keystone jacks, so easier to handle and use as a network “extension cord”. And the top plate keeps the wires in place better and is secured in place by the “flytrap” housing (though some standard keystone jacks also have top plates). The strain relief/cinch is convenient and adequate for strain relief…but for “extension cord” use, I’d advised some heat-shrink tubing as well. These advertise as being reusable…but frankly, all keystone jacks are reusable.- This jack tested 1Gbps fine with my old Fluke CIQ (I have no current way/need to test faster).- The dust covers are a rather nice touch. Bottom Line:Good value for small-quantity keystone jacks. These are more convenient to use than standard keystone jacks, so I can certainly see the appeal/niche for home users that have never punched down a keystone jack, or where doing so is inconvenient. Good jacks; good value. Fifth star granted for (slightly more) convenience, value, and innovation.

Quick, easy and Stable
Okay, so where do I start? I wonder what is on Prime Video. Oh, yes, the review. This is a strangely unique product. An RJ45 connector that does not need tools to install. Well… okay, it does not need the network tools one would normally use to make a solid, secure connection. I wanted to prove that the device would work well with no effort, or fail it at the slightest issue. After some thought, while I searched for a USB-C to mini-HDMI cable, I decided to build a six-foot cable with the jack on one end and the plug on the other. Test both at the same time.I started with the AMPCOM RJ45 Modular Plug. The small box contains 12 plugs, a cable stripper and a clam shell clamp to secure the wires to the plug. The only other item needed is something to cut the excess wire from the connector. I resisted the urge to get the wanted wire clippers and instead picked up the small Fiskars scissors I my desk drawer. Any object that cuts will do.While building network cables is somewhat intuitive, I decided to review the video that is on the product page. It was easy enough to follow and proved helpful. The plug was easy to attach and I had one-half of a usable cable.I decided to install the AMPCOM RJ45 Keystone Jack to complete the cable and test the usefulness of both products. The box of jacks also come in a box of 12 but with no cable stripper and no instructions. A quick review of the video and I knew exactly what to do. Once the wires were in place and secure, I looked to the Fiskars scissors to once again trim the wires.A quick test of the cable and all connections are secure. A traffic test show no issues and 1Gbps transfer speed. POE shows good and no loss. Overall, I am completely satisfied with the products for their intended use. These connectors are great for a quick repair or to build a quick cable if needed, though I would not want to use these in a permanent situation.

Worthless
don't waste your money, it's a good idea, but if I can't get my punch down tool to push the wires into it, it really doesn't matter. There is a plastic lip in the way of the punch down tool, I even tried a couple of different type punch downs. even tried a Cat6A tool, used for shielded keystones, that didn't work either... sent mine back...

Easy to install and reliable performance
The AMPCOM CAT6 RJ45 Keystone Jack met my needs for home networking. exceeds my expectations. The tool-less termination and adjustable ratchet lock design make installation very easy. It seems to have high-quality, sturdy construction, so I'm hoping it'll last a long time. The gold plated contacts enhance conductivity, maintaining signal integrity for reliable network performance. I installed this on my 1GB network, but hope to test it on another network with 10Gbps speeds. A good choice for installing or upgrading a home network.
