Bought this after seeing the outrageous prices of easels at Michaels.... Overall I am happy with this easel, I'd recommend buying it. Pros: - Relatively lightweight. It is easy to carry/transport. - Folds beautifully, super good design - The ruler on the legs and the level on the easel makes it easy to set up correctly and straight. - Lots of storage area- fits more than you think. Couple of cons: - Without the palette placed at the top, everything in the storage areas gets jumbled around when transported as the lid is way taller than the divisions. I don't use the wooden palette, it is inconvenient to carry it around just for the purpose of making sure everything stays in place. - I found it pretty stable, although I wouldn't put too heavy of a load on it. If you paint/draw with a lot of force, it will wobble. That is to be expected though, with such thin legs. - Too tall! I am a short person (5'), and I like my feet touching the floor when I am sitting..... except the easel simply doesn't go that low! That is a me problem though.

This is a sturdy, portable, art easel with box that was well-thought out in design. It can be used standing up or sitting down at a table. I am rather impressed because I was expecting another typical three-star purchase on Amazon---but this is great! It was easy to set up (I found the directions in the easel box) and I consider myself a dumby setting up things. It is light enough to carry on plein air journeys, but sturdy enough to withstand the wind and supplies you carry. Very good value for the money. It can be used by both amateur or professional. Quite nice!!!

I am absolutely IN LOVE with this French easel! This is a Chic dream. Not only is it great for painting but it's also fantastic as decoration. I can keep my very basic painting by numbers on the easel in the corner of my bedroom and it looks like an actual artwork in process. This is very well made with top quality wood. The drawer has great space for many brushes and even long professional ones. The legs may seem flimsy, but trust me, they are not. This would make the most incredible gift for anyone that likes vintage pieces also.

this easel is great - lots of compartments and flexible paint storage dividers. despite reviews I found it setup pretty easily each time. of course the only downside is how heavy it is, not fun to carry on foot more than quarter mile. but its solid and looks good too

I don't write a lot of reviews, I do leave good marks where it due . I wanted to review this easel because it's much better and has more features than I thought . I got it in 1 day so that's good, I set it up in just a few minutes wo directions, it's a man thing, anyway it's great for someone who does not have there own studiom. It's portable and can be collapsed into one briefcase size box . I was really concerned about the way it folds up but was pleasantly surprised. The legs are folding and all the hardware is brass or brass like and it truly folds up in a small package and can be taken anywhere. I'm pleased with the drawer that it has the size of canvas is big, you can look at it and measure your usefulness not sure exactly how big but plenty big enough for anyone I'm sure. The legs are adjustable for many heights and are easy to adjust. My favorite part is that even tho I was scrppticle about how sure it would be because a lot of things with slender legs are, this thing is really stable on its feet and that's a true plus when you are painting. No one wants to have to chase the canvas . So to sum it up I am really satisfied and for this price point it really really great in my opinion. And I'm hard to impress! I would suggest this easel to anyone and I would purchase it again! Get you one, very good for small places and it carries well anywhere...

Great product for the price point! Out of the box, the tripod is heavy and sturdy and the pochade box to tripod connection seems to be great, with very little wobble. The set up, fully packed would be on the heavy side, but sturdy and compact. Time to get outside and paint!

Diese Staffelei ist einfach großartig!

Je viens de recevoir cette très belle boîte. Beaucoup de rangement, j’ai pu y mettre tout mon matériel pour l’aquarelle. Le pied est bien stable et le tout parait de bonne qualité. Les sacs de transport sont également pratique avec leurs bandoulières. Je verrais à l’usage la solidité, mais cela a l’air de bonne manufacture.
