Easy to put together. Heavy duty carrier and it held everything I needed it to on a 300 mile trip.

This is such an easy way to throw bags/totes, honestly pretty much anything and travel with it.Our truck was down and we used it to carry 6 bales of hay for our horses! Very functional and great value for your money!

I was skeptical on purchasing this product, because of far it extended from vehicle, but I was thoroughly surprised with the product and suitability it provided while traveling. Used it for a road trip and it did more than I expected. The extended features allowed me load all of my bags and still have access to my back hatch on my SUV and did not touch my cargo on the hitch. The reason I gave 4 of 5 stars was the stabilizer plate “U” bolt broke, but it did not affect the ride on the road trip. I would recommend this product if you need the additional room for your SUV. The cargo bag also worked and kept our belongings dry.

I'm really happy with the quality of the carrier itself and all the accessories that came in this kit. We recently had a child, and packing for trips started getting harder with the addition of a pack and play, stroller, an extra suitcase, etc. This works great to hold extra cargo and free up space in the car.The only complaint I have is that the assembly instructions were pretty much useless. It was just a numbered list of hard to follow steps with no diagrams whatsoever. I ended up just throwing the instructions out and winging it. But it was pretty easy to figure out how to put it together just by looking at the pictures of it fully assembled and thinking about things logically.

It worked out great. We drove through a 6 hour snow storm from N.Y. to V.A. during the holidays. We had clothes, gifts, and other consumables which were bone dry once we reached out destination. It also holds a good amount of stuff. I'm satisfied!!

So I bought this carrier knowing I was about to make the trip of a lifetime from Anchorage, Alaska to San Antonio, Texas. Wanting something waterproof was key and this carrier didn’t disappoint. I used 4 totes inside the carrier bag and fit perfectly. Everything arrived dry which made me very happy since most was tools. THIS IS THE ONLY DOWNSIDE TO THIS CARRIER. WHEN LOADED BE SURE TO MAKE EVEN WEIGHT SIDE TO SIDE. As this carrier has a center rail/support, that ultimately is the other end of the hitch. The problem we had along the way was the carrier bouncing like a seesaw, side to side up and down. We stopped and added 2 more straps from the carrier to the hitch to alleviate some of the bounce. The carrier has a piece of 2” square tubing to support the carrier but it doesn’t go to either side like a cross for instance, leaving it bounce like a seesaw. One 2” piece of square tubing with 4 holes drilled at 1/2” for the bolts to go through, keep in mind the tubing is 2” and you remove half of that for the bolts to go through. It makes it hard to tighten all 4 bolts as they almost touch each other, but these have to be tight as possible. Overall I gave it a 5 star anyway. I was very happy it made the trip.

The design of this carrier hinges around a single bolt. This bolt is what the carrier rotates on from laying flat to upright. If this bolt breaks, the carrier falls off the back of your vehicle. The bolt itself is only a grade 4.8 and is a fully-threaded bolt instead of a shoulder bolt.If you buy this, do yourself a favor and replace this bolt right away with a higher grade shoulder bolt. The rest of the design looks sturdy and doesn't have any issues.

Received item several weeks ago but just now opened and attempted to put together.First of all as you can see in the pics, the item arrived bent/damaged which wasn’t apparent until opened and removed from the box. Since, I purchased well in advance of needing the cargo rack, it was too late to return/exchange.Secondly, the instructions really do suck. I’ve put together many projects and have never seen such sparse instructions. I watched several YouTube videos before figuring out exactly how to put together. The fact that it was bent made it more difficult to align the hole and construct.I’m hopeful that the cargo rack will work as intended despite being bent.
