Easy to assemble
This was sturdy and easy to assemble. However, you need two people to install. Great product.

It worked
I liked that it was easy to assemble but not so easy to install in concrete. The concrete lag bolts were very cheap. No drill bit size was given to drill into concrete. I had to go online to find that out. Even with the correct hole size the lag bolts had to be hammered into the drilled hole and it would bend or dis form the threaded bolt. There was no mention of how deep to drill the holes and very difficult to remove from hole once installed if not deep enough. I would still buy one again but would go to a hardware store and purchase a 3/8” redhead lag bolt and also the lag bolt install tool so as not to deform threaded portion of the lag bolt. When you buy a redhead lag bolt the drill bit size for the hole and its depth is shown on packaging. Also the rail is a painted rail and not powder coated. It scratches very easily. Ours tipped over on to concrete while installing and got severely scratched. We used a black touch up paint marker to cover up the scratches. It looked nice and felt sturdy once installed.

Great!
They are reasonably priced, very easy to put together, and worked perfectly. Much easier and cheaper than building a railing like I had originallyOnly 1 issue - it wasn’t a problem for me but I ordered the 5 step set for the 6 steps thinking it would give me a little extra clearance since there is no landing in the stairs but as you can see in the photo they still just barely fit. There is no way they would have worked with 5 steps. But they did work perfectly for the 6.

Installation is difficult on concrete.
The media could not be loaded. For starts, don’t even use the anchor bolts, they are cheap and will disintegrate. Total crap and very frustrating. Took me two tries to scrap them. A good one is only $1.50 and you need eight, why they don’t just upgrade them is odd.And the base plate holes are only large enough for the bolts and leave no clearance. Drilling in concrete exactly on center (8 holes) is nearly impossible. I had to ream out the four holes on the bottom plate to make them bigger. To avoid that on the top plate I drilled 3/16” holes in the concrete instead of the 5/16” for their cheap lag bolts and used concrete tap screws with hex heads which gave me a bit of slack which was needed. And they painted the diagonal rail Allen screws so you really can’t tighten the rails very well, also because they include cheap Allen wrenches. You certainly can’t install this into concrete steps with the hardware and tools included. I suspect on a set of wood stairs would be different. With said, after two trips for different hardware and using my own tools it’s pretty sturdy and it worked for the angle of our steps. But was a total pain to install.

Railing is good
The good.Rail itself if good, fits good, sturdy metalThe badSlow shipping from California, concrete shields are low quality, but the junk in box are small Allen keys,2, that are cheap and don't fit well. The supplies wrench is worthless for the metric size nuts.Overall.If your handy, and have tools, this railing is great for the money, expect to buy better concrete shields and use your own wrenches, hammer drill, concrete bits, etc.If your not handy this railing isn't for you.Or pay somebody.Took me start to finish say 1.5 hours to install.Paint finish is good. Packed well in box.

Sturdy!
I recently installed this adjustable handrail around the basement steps in my backyard and it has made a significant difference in safety and convenience. The installation was straightforward, and the handrail is sturdy and adjustable to fit different heights. However, I recommend getting higher quality bolts, as the ones included broke easily during installation. Despite this, the handrail itself is excellent and I’m very pleased with the result. Highly recommend for anyone needing added support on their steps!

Solid and easy to install, but finish not great
I was happy with how easily it went together and installed. I used a hammer drill and concrete bit to install the concrete anchor bolts provided. From box opening to installed rail was less than an hour. Once installed, it seems very solid.I give it 4/5 due to the paint finish. It rained in the evening the day I installed it. It started rusting the day after it was installed. I had some paint left over from another project, so it's touched-up now, but disappointing that it started rusting in less than 24 hours.

Looks decent but..
Railing looks decent but the paint job on handrail could be better & there is a bit of a dent also.
