I paid less for this set and for most of the single pro brushes I have purchased. I am new to watercolor but find these hold their shape as well as plenty of pigment and water ... better than more expensive brushes that I own. I will likely buy the set of rounds also.

I am blown away by these brushes! I am a mixed media artist who mostly uses acrylic paints and abuses all of my brushes. I recently decided I wanted to play with some watercolor -- while I couldn't justify buying the best quality brushes, I still wanted something that worked. The struggle is real, no matter the medium, when you use tools that just don't work.I've used these just long enough now to know that these are really decent brushes. I'm not even going to add the proverbial "for the price" to the end of that sentence. These are really decent brushes. Period. It's so weird, but I could wax poetic for hours, because they still hold their points and edges, even after all of this use. LoL.... crazy, but it's very exciting. These brushes are soft, yet they have a really nice spring to them.Here's a tip: if you decide to get these brushes, put them into your cart and wait for them to go back toward their $11.99 price. The price is constantly fluctuating, so hold out for the deal. It's worth it.

I’ve only been watercolor painting for a year or so. When I first started I used inexpensive products. I needed to know if I even enjoyed it. I’ve upgraded my paints and to these brushes. Extremely high quality and they hold their shape very well.

They are really nice. When you see the price, do not think they are just ok. They are excellent! There was a review about pricing. It says wait until they are about 11 dolars. It is a good advice. Even cheaper on prime days. I advice this set.

I haven't painted for many years and I'm trying to find my spark, or motivation or something to get me back into it. I just have no had the motivation or time or desire after a medical family emergency 2 years ago, that turned my life upside down. I have started ordering some supplies, as I can afford, and I bought these beautiful brushes as part of my re-supplying myself with new watercolor supplies. Since I haven't actually started painting, I can't actually give a review on how the brushes are, or hold water, etc, but the packaging is just fantastic. The brushes are so packaged in such a beautiful and careful way that they make me WANT to paint. I am currently setting a new art area and this truly was inspired by having such beautiful packaging. (That sounds so silly, but it's true!) The package starts with a hard-sided tube, then a velvet bag inside, then inside, the brushes are individually wrapped, including a hard casing to protect the bristles. I'm am seriously impressed with the care that has gone into this. They feel so elegant and nice in my hand I hope this spark continues! Thank you. :)

Good paintbrushes for the price

I wanted to learn basic watercolor technique and found that my cheap-o brushes weren't helping me at all, so I ordered these. It's nice to have such a variety to use. I enjoy trying out the different widths and tips. I really like the little fine brush for detail work, and the thick flat one is great for washes. I don't know enough yet to use them to the best effect, but they are great while I am learning.

The media could not be loaded. I do like the brushes, unfortunately, this is my replacement set and I still have some wiggle room. The first batch, the round 10 and 8 round, wiggled very much, 8 even the handle twisted. this replacement set seems tighter, but there’s still is a little wiggle, but I can live with it. I did purchase the flat brushes that I'm am very pleased with. I’ll just use the 8 &10 round from that. I am just starting and thought this was a great set to start with.
