You get what you pay for
Decent cheap rod

Composite rods cast further than graphite
If you need a good inexpensive rod, Goture rules that domain! Even anglers like Bassmaster pros suggest having a graphite/glass composite in your arsenal because they flex nicely, throwing your lure far out. I also like the black/red colorway to match any black/red reels I have.

goture spinning rods
told the rod fishing yesterday to a local fishing lake and guess what ? THE TIP ON THE END OF THE ROD BROKE OFF ON THE VERY FIRST CAST? AMAZING, , THE TIP REALLY WASNT BROKEN OFF THE TIP WASNT EVEN GLUED ON, now i know why in the package in that black wrap holder they give you 2- 2nd ended poles .!! i dont understand goture, i purchased 2 reels 3 yrs ago and there running great , but since then the GOTURE PRODUCT LINE has lacked workmenship . and the GOTURE company use to be germany made is now a chinese based company for the labor costs, i know because in 2015 i was in germany fishing river and streams and the corp. office was in munich, germany. when in germany, there products were top of the line competing against NOR-FIN of finland . i guess with cheap labor , come cheap products, NOTE; THIS IS MY OPTIONON THE COMPANY PRODUCTS AND THE SERVICE, ! . coming home i glued the tip on the end of the rod and i guess will have to see what the next trip does,

broke in half by a 9 year old.
My 9 year old boy cracked this pole in half by simply pending it.Didn't even get to try out. I don't recommend.

Very flimsy
I'm no bass fisherman, but I do have a few bass rods in my saltwater arsenal, and I don't think this rod would not make a good bass rod, Just a Saltdonky's opinion.

Acceptable for the price, but I prefer 1 piece rods.
I would probably give this 3 stars overall, but I'm factoring in that this isn't an expensive rod for this review. Keeping that in mind, I'll give it 4 stars because it is relatively inexpensive and I think it will work fine. With that said, it is obvious that this is not a high end rod. The portability of a 2 piece rod is nice, but it seems unusually loose where the 2 rod pieces connect. I had to really jam the 2 pieces together with a lot of force to make it feel secure enough where I wouldn't be worried about the top of the rod flying off while casting. Even still I'm not totally confident in it. Now that I've used so much force to jam the two pieces together, I don't see myself disassembling it either, so being in 2 pieces doesn't give me any sort of advantage anyway. Bottom line for me, unless you REALLY need a 2 piece rod for some reason, I see no reason to go with anything but a nice solid 1 piece. They're just better and feel more secure overall. As far as the rod itself - It's fairly thick and feels almost like a medium-heavy, but at the same time it has a medium to slow action (meaning the rod bends a good way down the blank, not just the tip) so it has a good amount of give to it too. In this way, I actually appreciate the rod for what I'll be using it for. I plan to use this as a medium sized catfish rod using circle hooks, so I want a rod that has a good amount of bend to it since I won't be casting or forcefully setting the hook a lot. A rod with a good amount of bend to it will help the catfish hook themselves on circle hooks while I just reel up to it.As a couple of other reviewers have also mentioned, the eyelets seem a little on the small side as well. Since I won't be using this rod to cast a lot, this shouldn't be an issue but it was worth mentioning.Again, this should work for my needs but my main concern is still the connectivity of the two pieces. If they stay secure, I'll be happy. I wish I was more confident that they will though.....

A rod for on the go.
I'm exclusively a baitcast reel fisherman using a one-piece rod, but they are hard to carry around with you for spontaneous fishing. So, a two-piece breakdown rod to carry around in the trunk of the car makes sense for the fisherman that wants to fish in those holes on the side of the road. This rod and a spinning reel will fit nicely in the trunk. Today I went through my collection of reels and put a spinning reel on this medium action rod, added a popping cork and made a few casts in a friends catfish pond. It had no problem with the bulky combination. The materials it is made of, composite graphite and fiberglass fibers, sounds great, but you would have to be an engineer to understand all that. All you can tell by looking at the rod is that it is very simple in appearance. It's a dull black, with single color threads for the guides, but it does have the ceramic inserts in the stainless-steel guides. If you have ever used a rod so much that the line cut groves in the guides, you'll appreciate the ceramic inserts for preventing that. The reel seat is plastic, which I have mixed feelings about, because I'm an old timer. Metal seems stronger, but I've seen the metal reel seats tear and corrode, making me lean towards the plastic, and I guess that is the modern method/material.As far as value goes, it's a plain-Jane, simple rod, without any bells and whistles. So, the value will be determined by how it stands up to use over the years.I have my favorite gear of the one-piece baitcasting rod, but when I'm on the road and I get the urge to fish that little culvert that goes under the road I'm traveling on, I'll be going to the trunk and putting this rod together for a few casts.

Nice low-profile casting rod
I was excited to add a lightweight casting rod to my fishing arsenal, and this has been a nice addition. I was pleased with the build quality as well as the actual performance of the rod. It is very flexible and I can cast very light tackle out farther than I expected. This is definitely a great finesse fishing rod for getting your line in tight areas.I don't have too many bad things to say about the rod. It does well for the most part, but one problem I've had is that my line has a tendency to get wrapped around the eyes if it is breezy and I give the line any slack. It's not a huge problem, but I don't really have that issue when I'm using my brand name fishing poles.All-in-all I highly recommend this to anyone considering getting a rod specifically for finesse fishing. It has good action and provides a very fun fish-catching experience. Good luck and hope you catch a big one!

New Twitching Rod
I got this rod not sure what to expect. After arrival, I realized it was very stiff with not much action. But I will be using this as a new twitching rod for salmon. I did have a problem getting the rod together. It didn't align at the connecting point so I had to shave the little button at the bottom of the rod. I would not recommend this to a friend because I don't think my friends would have a use for it. I fish many different styles that the majority of my friends just don't do.

Decent rod, nice carbon fiber feel.
This is a nice rod to fish with. It is medium-weight and has a nice feel to it. It also comes apart for easy traveling or storing. It is carbon fiber and plastic. Typical quality for rods in this price range.

A good casting rod for the price…
Item reviewed: Goture-2-Piece-Spinning-Rod, 24-Ton Carbon & Glass Fiber Composite Spinning and Casting Rod, 5'6"/6'/7' Medium Spinning Fishing Pole, Medium Baitcaster Rod for Bass Fishing, Trout Fishing, Crappie FishingI ordered this rod primarily for small game fishing, as I prefer a small casting rod for this type of fishing. The rod itself comes in two pieces, so you must be sure to use a good bit of pressure when assembling the rod. The rod itself has a good bit of play in at, as it can bend to about 35% of the length of the rod. This wouldn’t work for bass or catfishing but it is perfect for fish like Bluegill. It is listed as a carbon and glass fiber hybrid.Based on these factors as well as the attractive price point, I would recommend this 7’ casting rod for small game fishing.

Good to moderate value two piece travel rod
I got the 7' casting. It is for the most part a good budget two piece travel rod.Couple of points on this. The first and only guide on the the lower section is rotated about 15 degrees from centerline of reel seat. That seems to be a quality control issue. Also the upper segment went a full 3.5" inches without any force into the lower segment and the resultant rod is not 7' but 6'10".While the guides are smaller diameter, considerably so compared to my other 6-7 casting rods, this is due to to ceramic insert in each guide that work well.Lure weights are mid weight and action is good. There is a misprint printed on rod that has "Lure weight" wrong. The first mention is correct: 3/16-5/8. The second listing that says "lure weight 6-18lbs" but should say "line weight," not "lure weigh. Otherwise the weight and flex on this rod is good.Good to moderate value
