CowboyStudio 100% Cotton Hand Painted 6' X 9' Tie Dye Brown Muslin Photo Background

I really shouldn't complain because of the great cost. There are a few blemishes in the cloth where you can see it was stitched back together. In the grand scheme of things this doesn't make a whole lot of difference because I tend to blur out the background a bit anyway. A quick Touch up in Photoshop can correct that. The instructions are not very clear about laundering this though. I was hoping to wash it and hanging to dry to get rid of wrinkles but wasn't sure if that would screw up the painting. Instead, I chose to hand steam it.

This photographs really nice! The material is thinner than I thought it would be. Overall a great deal. Beautifully made. I will be buying more

As posted in several other reviews, the color is not what is pictured in the item description. I rolled the dice and ordered anyway. Mine arrived quickly as usual with Amazon Prime shipping so I was happy about that but when I opened the package I was immediately disappointed. Mine was tan/beige not medium brown. The muslin cloth is decent and the size is right. I decided to salvage mine instead of sending it back by hanging it up in my back yard and spray painting it with some chestnut brown and some chocolate brown to get the color right for my needs and expectations. If you are careful and good at feathering with spray cans this option might work for you if yours arrives as the wrong color too.

I ordered this after buying and using a seamless matte backdrop. This item is much easier to use because it already has the crinkle look to it. After unfolding it from the packaging, it had definite fold lines. I put it in the wash on the cold setting, took it out and hung it to dry. I will probably wad it up to store, as that will keep it from having the fold lines. FYI: a solid matte background will be harder to get wrinkles out. I had trouble with a stubborn middle fold mark even after washing it. This tie dye muslin is the way to go.

I like it. There are a few traces of the "tie" when dyeing it but are actually hard to find and nobody will be looking for them in the photos. The back of it has possibilities as a lighter side. Which reminds me of a double sided one selling for $99.99 of another brand, which I returned because when I rubbed it with a little water, the color faded horribly. I did try to discolor this CowboyStudio one, and it did not.

I ordered this backdrop for shooting videos and some photography. The fabric is strong but not heavy. the coloring is exactly as shown. Note 10x13 is really quite large. Measure the area that you are working in first before you order. There is a sleeve that a rod can go through for support. Just take it out and let it hang for a while to take out any wrinkles. I will do an updated review in a while if there are any changes.A great purchase.

I read the reviews before I purchased this backdrop and was not sure of what I was going to get.Let me first say that it was exactly what was advertised. I use a hand steamer to get the wrinkles out..takes a few minutes but that is the price I'm willing to pay for portability. It is thin and you do have to control ambient light bleed thru but that also is manageable. It is a great backdrop for the price.

The colors are accurately depicted in the advertisement. Wrinkles are a breeze to get out, just a little spritz with water and under 10 minutes with the steamer. I did wash and dry mine as it smelled quite "industrial" when removed from the package. A little shrink but it's cotton so I expected that. The colors held up to the wash in cold water with mild detergent, and a medium heat setting on the dryer.The top is sewn a little crooked, but the muslin hangs straight, that's what really counts. Over all, very satisfied with this purchase.
