MegaGear MG283 Ever Ready Leather Camera Case compatible with Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 VI, DSC-RX100 V, DSC-RX100 IV, DSC-RX100 III - Black

The item arrived promptly.The quality is top notch and I am quite satisfied.The only drawback is that it has a tight fit around the lens and it tightens when you put it on. So I will need to find a way to either grind it a bit or make it more soft so it doesn't scratch on the outside diameter of the lens.Overall dimensions are good apart from the lens socket diameter.

I bought this case for my Sony DSCRX100M5.It's well made and fits the camera perfectly. Some reviewers of theRX100 state they have difficulty holding the camera safely.This case has gone a long way to eliminate this.I use the strap supplied with the camera, place the thumb of my left hand in the indent at the bottom of the case and my first two fingers I place either side of the lense.It seemed natural to me and works.This case is not designed to protect the camera from dust or rain but then compact cameras are not designed to be used in dust or rain.What this case does do and does it well is protect it from knocks etc.But the biggest benifits of this case for me is it makes handling the camera so much better in every way and unlike so many cases does not double the camera size and being made of leather it slips in your pocket quite easily.

This case is not leather, it is leather effect.The base of the case is sculpted to the camera, but a little bulky.The top and main "over shroud" of the case is too large with a great deal of movement and lack of side protection and rain entry, there is at least half an inch of a gap inside at the top where the shoe is (on the RX100M2) which makes this compact camera bulky in this case.If someone would take a look at the sony original case, make the screw mechanism to fasten to the camera even smaller so it can stand whilst placed on a table ...and with the top removed, charge and connect to HDMI; this would be a functional gem.

Having just purchased a Sony camera I needed a case for it. This was just the job. Only reason for not giving it 5 stars(Would have given it 4-1/2). The moveable viewfinder is fouled by the back of the case and is difficult to release and adjust out wards. Otherwise perfect case.

Very pleased with this item.

Fits fine and is solid and well made - it's useful for protecting the camera while in a rucksack or suitcase but while walking about you may prefer to take the lens cover part off so that it has more chance of fitting in a pocket and ready to take a shot.
