I have returned to plastic model building (after 30+ years) and find this brand fits my needs perfectly. With a good selection of shades, colours and finishes they are easy to apply, cover well and dry quickly. I by no means claim to be an expert modeler..... but I know what works!...... and for me, Vallejo paints and finishes don't let me down!....great paints that do what it says on the tin! (and does it well!)

Used to dirty up some skaven units, and worked perfectly. Very easy to use if a little messy. Use an old brush, and do it over a sheet of paper. Looks great though, and the quantity you get will last for years, so worth every penny

I put my hands up when I opened it and saw various amounts of powder in the bottles I honestly thought id been sent a returned pack when someone had already used some of it. It really looked like that, so there I am angrily clicking to return the item when my partner questioned my judgment and asked if it wasn't just that they’d settled. No! I said firmly until they picked one up, gave it a good shake, returned it to me and walked away leaving me how looking at a full bottle! Cough. Cancelling the return. So something to be aware of! These are expensive, but great quality and really good quality. I decided to invest and for my first purchase and now I think I may be hooked. The colours are as described (as much as can be) and they have found a good home… just needed a bit of shaking ☺️

Prompt delivery. The use of it dry onto a model or site can be messy if handled when finished as it ends up on your hands or its site. I used it with much watered down PVA glue to keep it in place and making it less messy.

Like all pigments, you need to get the right colours. This set is useful for armour in European settings for example. The pigments apply well dry or can be mixed wet and applied thickly. Dry, they go on well with a dry brush and the darker colours show prominently. Lighter colours are less noticeable so may take a few applications. Setting the pigment does dull the effect somewhat and lighter shades fade a little. They can also be re-blended as the setting fluid is applied. As with all weathering, its best to go with several thin layers to build up the effect rather than trying to achieve perfection with one application.
