“Unlike typical sacramentals, scapulars are not merely blessed, but need to be invested by a priest to enroll the faithful.” If you previously went to have the Rite for the Blessing of and Enrollment in the Scapular and given the Brown Scapular by a Catholic priest then you don’t need to have another one blessed. You just keep wearing a new one as replacement. Just bury the old or worn out scapular in the ground that’s not a busy area.
