Mineral Fusion2-in-1 Lip & Cheek Stain Merlot, 0.10 fl oz, Deep Cherry Red hydrating, long-lasting, matte lip and cheek color

I was on the fence about purchasing this product due to mixed reviews but I’m so happy that I eventually did. I have used it almost everyday on my lips and cheeks, it looks beautiful with some lip liner and clear lip balm (I use Mac’s Whirl and Rosebud Salve.) I am all about stains and was a devoted Benetint gal but stopped because of the chemicals. This is BLOOD red, which I love as an elder goth. It looks gorgeous with my pale skin and black hair. Some may not be into this shade but it’s a beautiful blood red, not rusty on the skin. It is also a low maintenance product and the applicator is great. I will definitely be re-purchasing as soon as I run out.Update: This product has seemingly gone bad and it’s not even a month old, it’s not pigmented anymore and smells funny. The price has gone up by nearly 5 dollars. I will be looking for a similar product instead of re-purchasing.

I like the soft, glossy texture of this stain for a lip stain. The color is a bright, cherry red and it is long-lasting but also moisturizing without feeling sticky. However, it is difficult to apply correctly on cheeks as it does not blend well and tends to instantly stain cheeks a bright red before it can be blended in. Would only recommend as a lip stain.

The color is awesome and true to color. It goes excellent on both lips and cheeks and blends really well with fingers. It’s a natural dupe for some of the more chemical-filled multi use stains out there, and it does the trick!

Finally I have found something to replace the stain I used to use for YEARS until it was discontinued. Been looking all over for this stuff, you have no idea.Key attributes I was looking for were a) water-based gel, b) buildable and c) convincing as a natural flush.I use it on lips, cheeks, and tip of nose. If done correctly, the finish is very natural and convincing. I recommend going as sheer as possible on your first pass, and building sheer layers from there. Doesn’t take much. Blend and blur light layers with finger tips. Stays for hours. Long-lasting. On lips, I do a light layer or two and swipe on some chapstick over it, and it just makes me look fresh and healthy. Doesn’t look like I’m wearing makeup at all.I don’t recommend going heavy on your first application because that’s where you get the patchiness people complain about with this product. Has to be done on dry, moisturized skin, whether it be lips or cheeks.You do have to reapply if you’ve been eating or drinking but that’s obviously going to happen with any lip product unless it’s like a thick product that’s shellacked on the lips, like a long wear matte lipstick.Sounds weird but hear me out - the merlot shade is almost exactly the color of blood, which is what I want because it makes me look like I have an actual flush and good circulation (which I don’t). This shade is IMPOSSIBLE to find in this type of formula, I have literally been searching for years. No major makeup or beauty brands make this shade in a water based gel. This stuff is literally an answer to my prayers.Hope they never discontinue this product!!!

Granted it doesn't come off on cups and stuff it just fades very fast. I'd say in less than 2 hours from my experience.

I was looking for a clean blush, but this blush is very blotchy. Looks bad on.

This lip stain is sooo perfect. The color is to die for.... it is sheer and dries quickly when applied. I will definitely be purchasing again!!

I have bought this three times because I love the color and works well and looks natural. However, each time the wand at the top with the soft part has broken off extremely easily only after a couple of uses, and I don’t believe I have been rough with it at all! It’s a shame. But I love the color so much. I continue to use it dubbing the color with the hard part onto my cheeks… Not very comfortable and difficult to take the color out of the container also. Good dryness. Decent thin consistency. Stays on cheeks most of the day depending what you are doing. Stays less longer on lips. Pretty and natural - depending on your skin tone obviously

It looks good when applied but goes away in minutes.
