I have only used this product twice so understand this review is being written without a long period of use to gauge the product. It has a nice feel to it and doesn't feel cheap or like it is going to fall apart. The changing of the grinding stone is quick and easy to do. I charged it overnight and used it twice for about 15 minutes each time and still no need to charge it. Turning on the two lights they are quite bright and really helped in using the grinder. Compared to my first grinder which was by Furminator and purchased at Pet Supplies Plus locally this one is so quiet. It's like being in stealth mode compared to the Furminator one I purchased. As far as grinding it does a very good job and came with two stones which obviously has more or less grit then the other. I would like a couple more options of grit but can order those separately to fix that issue. For the record I used this on my two full size Dobermans and while a bit leery of what I was doing once on and running they didn't appear to have the anxiety that came with my first grinder due to the reduction noise level. I also found you don't have to really press it hard to do the job it does all the work for you. Just a note that if the dogs nails are really long clipping some of the length off with those will most likely be required or at least a more aggressive stone than what came with this grinder. Also frequently stop and touch the dog's nail to make sure it isn't heating up from the friction which could cause pain or discomfort to the dog though I'm sure that is obvious to most but did want to mention it. It also came with manual clippers but haven't used them yet so I'm not going to speculate on the manual clippers.

I purchased this set to trim and file our Golden Retriever’s nails. I went ahead and purchased a soft muzzle for him too just to make sure that we wouldn’t have any issues at all with him maybe trying to bite. He is older and has a little arthritis and his feet are already a little sensitive so I wanted to make sure that we were not hurting or upsetting him. He is a very good boy but I didn’t even want to take a chance on this. The clippers work great and the guard feature is very nice to have. I work with all kinds of power and hand tools and this set is very nice quality for the money. The grinder took about 6 hours to fully charge and also works very very well. The unit is very quite and the LED lights are very bright and very handy. On a safety note: You want to be extremely careful when your using it and I would not “sand” the nails for any longer than about 5 seconds at a time to avoid the possibility of any heat being generated on the nails. This nail grinder works very well and has a lot of torque so I think that you could easily heat up the nail if you grind for too long and are not careful. I decided to not clip his nails “short” nor did I grind them short and left them a little on the longer side. We live in rural Alaska and he’s never on pavement or on any other abrasive surface other than gravel to naturally file his nails down. In the winter we are on snow and ice covered ground for 4to5 months out of the year which dose not naturally “sand” his nails downed either. I would rather leave his nails a little longer and trim and file them a little more often than clip and file them down short just in case. I think that leaving them long also helps protect the quick from the cold, ice, and the snow and gives him a little better traction if I leave them a little long. My German Shepards still find the noise scary and it's not their fault. The actual motor is pretty quiet, and the spinning grinder are strong to file down their nails. Comes with protective cap, usb charging cable and nail clippers.

The media could not be loaded.  I bought this trimmer about 2 weeks ago after my old cutters were damaged. I’m used to the simple nail clipper, so it was nice to finally have something with a guard & a latch to keep them in the shut position. They’re very sharp and cut the nails really well. I’ve never used an electric grinder, but this one was super easy to use. Once charged (which only took about 10-15 minutes to charge up), I was able to round out my pups nails using the trimmer’s dremel guard as a guide. I’m not too sure if this is considered “quiet” compared to other electric mail grinders as this is my first experience with one, but my dog didn’t seem to mind the noise output as it was minimal no matter what speed you use. I’ve used it on multiple dogs from my frenchie, to my husky, to my dads Labrador, and even my cat, and they all seem to not mind it when introduced to the tool properly. The 2 speed setting is nice and having the led light near the grinder is even better! Makes it early see how much is being sanded as it flies off the nail. Very great product and one of the best things I’ve bought for my dog! 😁

Giving the second one to my cousin for her big golden doodle. Unfortunately, I learned my dog has a phobia around his paws in general so I can't say he's calm with this grinder.However, it is pretty quiet and has a light that makes it way for use. Love the ease of charging too.

Good enough product.How to purchase more grinding wheels?That's all I can say now having only used once and did not complete all dog's nails.

This nail grinder is the best! I wish I would have bought this a long time ago. I never clipped my dogs nails. I always used groomer. Both my dog and I were a bit nervous but we were careful and took our time and first clipped them with the clippers provided. Then we used the file. I loved it. It was quiet and smoothed out his nails so he didn’t scratch me. It also has a light which is very handy to be able to see. His feet looked professional done and we were proud we DIY. I highly recommend this product for quality and great price!

The nail trimmer is standard but the grinder that comes with is exceptional! It has a guard and is the quietest I've found. It is the only nail grinder my dogs will let me use on them. It's very nice to be able to round off their nails so they don't scratch us after having them trimmed and being sharp on the edges. It also has a light so you can see better as you grind the nail!
