Good for one time use
The balls have a cool texture after they've been hydrated, but the toy itself is entertaining for one use. It gets old very fast. It certainly doesn't cause the kind of joy you see in the advertisements. My son got bored quickly, and it was a mess to clean up. We played with it on the patio, and I'm glad we did. It was impossible to sweep up and stuck to your hands and everything, but you couldn't wash your hands because you don't want these balls going into your drains. I just left it for the next morning when the water evaporated from the shredded balls. Then it was easy to sweep up.

Great gift for someone else’s child!
Perfect gift for the child who’s parents you loathe! My 7 year old son received this as a gift on his birthday. He absolutely loved it! The little balls are like little mushy bounce balls. So when it shoots out it disperses fantastically! The zorbeez our toy came with were orange. Right now my house looks like a sick carrot had the stomach flu EVERYWHERE! It’s not very easy to clean immediately as the balls are still damp. So it sticks to the broom. I believe it will be easier to clean once it dries a little but I imagine I’ll be finding pieces of this in little crevices for months! I gave it 3 stars because even though I hate it, my kids really liked it and had a lot of fun. Now if you’ll excuse me... my “friend’s” child needs something equally terrible for her birthday. 😈

Coughs up orange phlegm, hard to clean
This toy does not so much shoot orange pellets as it does hack up small bits of orange phlegm. The core idea of a pump action orbeez shooter seems sound, but so many parts of the execution failed.First off, The beads need to be soaked in water for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. 18-year-old doesn't enjoy 4 hours of prep work for 10 minutes of mediocre play.Next, the way it works is that you have to fill a hopper with beads and jam them down into the body of the toilet. This is very hard for an 8-year-old to do. These beads are not really designed to be crushed using blunt force. It would help if the ramrod of the hopper had spikes on it to perforate the beads. Instead, you were just pushing down on a flat piston to try to squeeze them through a plastic grate.Once you get through all that, It doesn't really shoot beads. The beads have been smushed. So it just kind of coughs up little chunks. Hacks them up. Kind of like a shotgun with a 3-ft range. Maybe if you had a third hand so you could simultaneously hold handle, push down on the hopper, and pump it.Don't even get me started on the cleanup. You need to soak the entire gun in a bucket, because the orange bits get over every part of the inside of this toy. And don't even think of dumping that bucket of water down the sink. Orbeez absorb water and will clog your drain if they go down the sink. Instead, they recommend you dump the dirty orbeez water into some soil or it will biodegrade, except that takes 7 to 9 years. That's right, these beads are biodegradable, but they take seven to nine years to do so. So if you play on your driveway, have fun sweeping up orange dust for the next 7 to 9 years.
