I got this to use in front of my outside fireplace, it is beside my rafia rug so it protects it from jumping embers melting the main rug. So far it has done its job perfectly.

The previous mat I had in front of my wood stove was a trip hazard. This mat is thin, lies flat and hopefully if hot ash lands on it, it will protect my wood floor.

Lightweight and effective

Used in front of fireplace.

I purchased this mat to protect our hardwood floor from any sparks and embers from our wood stove which sits back on a nice brick hearth. The front of the stove is a service area to add firewood, empty ashes and clean up any wood residue, bark, etc. This mat captures every bit of residue to include foot prints of shoes or bare feet. I've tried to wipe it clean with a damp rag which seems to work but it appears that this process will be never ending. I am planning a return as I write. The mat was shipped folded in an oversize gallon bag with no instructions for care and cleaning. It's been down for 2 days and still hasn't remains wrinkled. Buyers beware. JIM

Fireplace easy to clean

The fabric quality seems good, but there are only a couple magnets inside so it has a lot of gaps which still allow cold air through. I prefer not to use the adhesive backing, so as not to ruin or scratch the finish on my fireplace doors.

I don’t know all about it yet, but I’m getting there.
