Bought for a good price during black friday - it works, but I don't think it'll get used much. Good for a Harry Potter fan.

Father Christmas bought my boys one of these each and they went fine very well. Makes a great fancy dress/ imaginative play item even without the app to create video.I did have a bit of bother working out how to make it work but once we realised the cloak has to go green side outwards for the video and photo effect to work we really enjoyed it.

My daughter loves the cloak. Having said that, you could put a Harry Potter logo on anything and she'd love it.I don't think it's particularly well made. It's not badly made, but the clasp is very weak and isn't going to last long. The cloak isn't the problem. In itself and as a costume plaything for children, it's just about okay. The let down is the phone based App. It's a very, very simple greenscreen app. It works by taking a photograph. As you record your video, the app overlays the video image over the top of the photograph. It removes anything green from the new video and in that 'hole' in the image where anything green used to be, you see through to the underlying photograph. The trouble is that greenscreen videos are actually a very difficult to do well. Bends, folds and creases in the green fabric appear to the camera as different shades of green or shadow. I've been making greenscreen videos for years and I know I have to iron my backdrop perfectly flat and light it correctly for it to work properly. Moving about in a green coloured cloth just can't get the same level of effect. It shows in the video the app takes. The person wearing the cloak can appear to 'vanish' but in place of the green cloak, you still see a far brighter version of the background picture. It also struggles round the edges of the image, especially the shoulders. The green of the cloak may appear to be far lighter or darker depending on your light source. So, the App seems to struggle to remove all of the cloak.As a toy or additional costume item for children, it's okay. Just don't expect anything spectacular from the App.

Great for keeping the kids entertained! They loved the experience of being able to copy some of the ‘magic’ of the movies.

This is so much fun! My son absolutely loved it but to be honest we all had a go - haha! The app is easy to use and the effect is brilliant! Very clever. My son likes just playing Harry Potter with the cloak as well so it's also brilliant for imaginative play.

Although it states as an invisible cloak my neighbours could still see me ?

The cloak is thin and not long enough to completely cover a 9 year old (who isn’t particularly tall.) We couldn’t get the app to work very well despite trying on more than one phone; green screen photos are hard to take so this isn’t a great item for children. Sending back.
