this carpet is gorgeous! it just arrived (i ordered it two days ago - standard shipping) and its now pride-of-place in my eccentric extremely artsy studio apartment. .(dada-ish?) who SAYS roosters are just for country-cottage cute!The colors are rich (and exactly as in the photo) and the pile forms a bit of swirly pattern in the solid burgundy part for a very rich appearance. This rug has none of those odors we all hate with new carpets (and i am very sensitive to) and it lies well (on the floor, not the fibbing lie of "I'm a great carpet-not").The corners are turned up a bit (do wish carpet people would stop rolling their product with the top of the carpet facing in - there would be none of that curling up if they rolled it the opposite way)... But I can tell the corners will relax (i'll come back and moan if they don't) and for now, they are being 'trained by a few of my large, heavy books. .... In my opinion, the carpet has a good depth and I find it very soft to my bare feet - a nice change of pace from the neighboring cream jute carpet ... All in all, the price for this quality is incredible. it is a very lush, rich-looking carpet that cost me mere pennies (well, lots of pennies, but not many dollars).And MOST important! I did NOT receive this product free of charge for my assessment NOR did I get it at a special price for my 'unbiased comments'. I HATE after i read thru 'comments' to see what other folks think (before I buy) and get to THAT malarkey. Heck. I'm an honest person, but if I was given something free of charge, I KNOW I'll like it better than if I had laid out my hard-earned cash for it. Wouldn't you? Nope, I paid the same price you will (unless you hit a sale or a year passes and the price goes up, but you already know that)

Beautiful area rug and beautiful weaving. Well made and perfect for my kitchen. It cleans up very nice. You can use a shampooer with warm (not hot) or cool water and it will not hurt this wool rug. I've already spilled on it and it wipes up easily. Nice tight weave so you have time to wipe it up before it sinks into the fibers.

This rug came in a timely matters, as does most on Prime. My only complaint is the colors are not nearly as vibrant as they are in the photo. The cream looks more like a light grey and the rooster colors are muted and not as vibrant. I will keep it only because it fits underneath my kitchen table and I cannot find another "rooster" rug in the right size. I have other Safavieh rooster rugs which are better looking.

The rug looks nothing like the photo shown on their posting! If I wasn’t desperate for a rug for my entry I would send it back. The only thing correct is the size is accurate. Very disappointed!

This is a beautiful rug and feels great to walk on. But my new kitchen wall color is called sand beach, so definitely in the beige family. The background of this rug is very light gray. The border is a dark navy, not black. And what I thought was a light blue is again a gray. I’m keeping it only because returning a larger rug is too darn much trouble.

I wanted a black wool rug for a high traffic spot in our ranch house. It's perfect!!! Love the chickens. High quality rug. We have several Safavieh rugs in our home.

This rug arrived in a timely manner as do all of our Amazon Prime purchases which are many as we live in a remote part of Wyoming and rely on online purchases to a great degree due to the lack of local shopping. The rug was ordered in an 8' round in black. When we opened it up, we were shocked to find that in multiple spots, you could see the white backing through the hooking on the rug. It is either totally defective or extremely poor quality and we would never dream of keeping it. Too bad as the design looked really great and we were excited to receive it and have not yet found another design that we like as much. I am really skeptical of ordering another hooked rug because it might have the same problem. This was to be a kitchen rug and we have always had a wool pile which works great. It seems that most of the kitchen style rugs are hooked which I now don't want at all. Why don't they make this rug in wool pile? The design is so beautiful. Oh well, on to more looking.

The rug is very nice, but I wanted to let people know that the colour is cream in the center but it is blue around the edge with a lighter blue line as well. I thought it was more of a grey shade but it is not.
