Way more comfortable than you imagine!
I purchased the Freedom Clamp approximately 12 days after my robot-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy (RALP) and 5 days after my catheter removal. Those first 5 days post-catheter were pure misery: despite wearing pads, I was constantly wet, soaking through layers, and experiencing highly irritated skin. When I first researched penile clamps, they frankly looked intimidating and scary. However, after doing thorough research, I decided to take the leap and make the purchase. I am so incredibly glad I did. Compared to the product images, the clamp is remarkably comfortable once you take the time to identify the best combination of pads, the hinge setting, and the right amount of clamp pressure. It completely resolved my leakage and allowed my skin to heal. Four days after receiving it, I had a follow-up appointment with my primary care physician (PCP). I explained my past skin irritation, my research, and my decision to try the Freedom Clamp. She admitted she was initially unaware of this specific device, looked it up online, and asked, "That looks scary, does it hurt?" I assured her it did not hurt at all. Because I was actively wearing it, she was able to examine it carefully in place. At the end of the appointment, she congratulated me for trying it, stating that she could see no clinical issues with the device as long as it is worn exactly as recommended (which I carefully do, releasing it at regular intervals). Later that day, I received a follow-up message from my PCP: she had actually reviewed the device with all of the other doctors in her practice and told them she thought it was an excellent recovery aid. If you are on the fence, hesitant, or intimidated by how these devices look, please know that with a little patience to find your correct fit settings, this device is a complete game-changer. It has made a massive difference in my post-surgery recovery and completely restored my dignity and comfort during the day. Highly recommended.

Works well
If you're unfortunate enough to have to use one of these it's the best out there because of the adjustable pivot point which helps with comfort. Thankfully, I've since had an AUS surgically implanted that has highly alleviated the incontinence problem.

Best clamp out there!
I wrote a review of this product several months ago, but it seems to have disappeared from the site. I said in that review that I thought this clamp is the best out there (almost a 5 star). I have used almost every clamp on the market for the last 15 years. The best one, up until this point, was the Squeezer Klip. I was one of the first ones to use it. In fact, I helped the original designers (two old guys) make small changes. The problem with that clamp is that it absorbed moisture and has to be cleaned frequently. It was also expensive at $95 and only lasted 3-6 months and you could not change the pads. I bought the original Lunderg clamp and was impressed with the quality (far better than any other on the market). However, it didn't work for me. Because it was not adjustable at both ends the penis slides to the right side almost immediately and then the pads no longer work. I spoke with the Lunderg folks, both via e-mail and on the phone, over a couple of weeks. We had a great dialogue and they were excited about he idea of changing the design. I even offered to test any new design. Unfortunately, after a lot of discussion within their organization, they decided not to make changes at that time. Obviously I was disappointed. I stumbled on the new design and was elated that they had made changes, adding the changeable pads and an adjustment on the right side as well as the one already on the left. The new clamp is of great quality and it is half the price of the Squeezer Klip. It is also easy to clean and you can use it in the swimming pool. I also love that you can buy additional pads for $20. I have shown the clamp to both my GP and my Urologist, both of whom thought it was a good idea (and have suggested it to their patients). As for those who are worried about infections, I have never had one with any of the clamps over the years. I did before the clamps as wearing a wet pad is not healthy. Also I do not sleep with it on since it is good to release every few hours. I don't believe you have to do it every hour as I never have. Sometime I have forgotten that I had it on and worn it to bed and only realize it when I get up to go to the bathroom. There are a couple of suggestions I would make at this time. First, it would be nice if the overall profile was smaller. I was concerned that it would be too large and possibly be visible. That hasn't been a problem, but I would like to see it made smaller if possible. The second thing would be to color the adjustment nub (maybe red tip) on the multiple adjustable side (I use a colored marker but it doesn't last long). It is hard to see which notch it is in. Coloring would let you know you are in the correct one. Finally, I would suggest that they provide the option to purchase just the two pads that work for you instead of all of the pads. They could charge less money (and maybe save money corporate wise) and you wouldn't waste resources making pads that you will never wear. Russ Johnson

Poor construction and poor materials makes the product impossible to use.
After receiving my clamp early today, I spent several hours trying to install the pads onto the clamp, or as the manual calls them, stabilizers. I am totally frustrated with the product. The pads that were included in the package do not fit onto the stabilizers. On pages 12-13 of the manual there is a headline that says “How to put pads on stabilizers.” There are two photos on each page and they all show the clamp with the pads already attached but there is nothing to explain how to install them. I will be returning the product to Amazon.

Moves Around too Much
Hello all, Its comfortable...but...it's difficult to keep the clamp where it needs to be. I've tried all the diffetent configurations...nothing seems to hold well. I'm very active and I assume that's the issue. Sorry...couldn't give it a higher grade. If anybody has a better way to use it, let me know. Cheers

Excellent product and service.
This is a significantly better solution for incontinence after TURP than absorbent pads. This was the second clamp I purcased and performed much better than the other brand I tried first. Lundberg's customer service was also outstanding, providing appropriate and timely resolution of my issue. I recommend this product and company.

Adjustable comfort, Leakage control
Like that it is easy to clean. Like various pad widths including upper V-pad and ultra wide lower pad. It is more comfortable than a Cunningham clamp and easier to install than the Lunderg confidence clamp. It is still large and can become uncomfortable with extended use. Leakage control is about the same as a new Cunningham clamp, but is more durable than a Cunningham clamp. Since writing above review, I am still using the clamp with the ultra wide lower pad 2 months later. I do experience a very small leak with careful installation, about the same as a new Cunningham clamp. Careful installation involves being sure the bottom of the penis is centered on the lower pad and the upper vein of the penis is squarely centered and aligned with the V-groove of the upper pad. A proper installation causes the clamp to lie comfortably across the crotch with the penis untwisted and relaxed. Long term discomfort can be avoided by applying baby powder to the clamp pads each morning when initially installed. This surface coats the rubber or silicon pads so they don’t stick to the skin of the penis. I am sure to drink at least 8 ounces of water a day, many times 1.5 times that amount, to encourage frequent urination and frequent removal and reinstallation of the clamp. I expect the clamp to outlast the normal life of a Cunningham clamp because of the durability of the pads. The clamp itself also seems to be made of break resistant plastic. Had to stop using due to unbearable discomfort after just a couple of hours relative to Cunningham clamp. Also not easy to install leakage free every time.

Well made product with quality materials, but does not work for my situation.
I am sure this product works for some men. I feel I have given it a fair trial but I am unable to use the product given my situation.

Good quality
Bought this recently as a precautionary purchase. I have not had cause to use it yet, but it appears well made and straightforward. Hoping I will not need it, but reassuring to have.

Not really comfortable, silent in clasping, or easy to use.
Not the best.

Don't be fooled by smooth marketing blurb
This is an expensive, difficult to use dribble stopper. It is impossible to undo and re-do with just one hand. In my view all these devices should be for easy one handed operation. Previously I had used Dribble Stop and only decided to change after some five years use because the foam pad was getting slightly hard. I have now reverted to Dribble Stop as you can use either hand and of course it does the job perfectly, and for around the same price. I used to think it was expensive- but after many years use, I realise it is quite good value.

The flexibility of adjustment and quality of the system
I have now tried three clamps this far at 6 months post radical prostatectomy. This one has so far performed best. The multiple options for fit and tightness are the best performance. I have troed the sister clamp but found it uncomfortable and lacking in adjustment and same for the competitors clamp. The medical quality rubber on these also did not stand up as well as this one. Make no mistake, it’s trial and error and patience is definitely required. Also, as you regain continence, further adjustment is required as you need less pressure to avoid leaking etc. I am at month 6 and am told don’t expect too much because 7-8 months is the notional sweet spot for recovery. I do know the Freedom Clamp is the best so far and is holding up well so qualified is definitely good. Update July 25,2024- I encountered a small issue with one of the 2 clamps purchased. I contacted the company customer service department. Without hesitation they agreed to replace the defective clamp at no charge to me. This speaks volumes about the care and consideration they apply when dealing with their customers. This is definitely a 5 star company for sales and service. Thank you Agna for your help and support.

Es muy práctico
Se puede lavar con facilidad, es de tamaño adaptable, y que no se abre con el movimiento diario, muy bueno para la incontinencia masculina pues no permie el paso de liquido
