Ravensburger Aimee Stewart The Archaeologist’s Desk 500 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle for Adults and Kids Age 10 Years Up

I recently completed this delightful puzzle and it was an absolute joy! The image was not only fun but also beautifully designed, making the entire experience thoroughly enjoyable. It was surprisingly easy to put together, striking the perfect balance between engaging and not overly challenging. This puzzle is definitely gift-worthy and I would highly recommend it for that purpose. The only downside was the packaging. The puzzle arrived in a brown paper envelope, which unfortunately creased the box. This was a bit disappointing, especially considering its potential as a wonderful gift. Despite this, I absolutely adored working on the puzzle and its charming design more than made up for the packaging issue.

I have wanted this puzzle ever since worlds 2023 in Spain. I'm glad that I finally managed to get my hands on it. I had a great time putting it together. I usually pick 500's because they're pretty quick. This one, even with the signature Aimee Stewart gradient cast across the entire image, was a bit challenging. That's okay...in this instance, I was okay with the challenge because I really loved the artwork. Sometimes you grab a small piece count puzzle for speed and sometimes you just pick a puzzle no matter the piece count because you love the image. This was a slower 500 for me, but that just meant I was able to enjoy the artwork a little bit longer. If you like Aimee Stewart's other illustrations, you'll probably enjoy this one, too.

This is one of the puzzles used in the World Jigsaw Puzzle Championship 2023 (in Spain). At the time we ordered this through Amazon (Sept 28, 2023), it was only available from Europe. It took one month to arrive at our home in the US. About two weeks in, it was lost with Australia Post, then Amazon offered a refund. I decided to wait another week, then it showed up as being transferred to USPS, eventually being delivered. The fastest time (1st place winner at the international contest) was 40min, 49 seconds to complete this puzzle. Can you beat that?

It is a fine puzzle. It was in the world's speed puzzling championship. The only problem is it came with one piece missing. We expect that from a 2nd hand puzzle from a garage sale, but not one that we paid $25 for. Ravensburger will not send a replacement piece either. Disappointing. Their quality control should be better than that.

Wie alle Ravensburger Puzzles ist auch dieses hoch Qualitativ und für jeden Archaelogie Fan ein Muss. Das zusammensetzen des Puzzles ist leichter als ich es gedacht habe und macht so einen Spaß, dass ich es schon mehrmals gemacht habe. Auch nach mehreren Benutzen ist der Puzzle immer noch in top form und kann immer wieder zusammengebaut werden. 🧩
