This box is BIG! I had a cord with an odd shape at the end, so I knew it wasn't going to fit in a small box. This thing seals water tight and keeps your cords protected. Very well made! Good value for the price point!

It seals up great to keep weather out of my cord connections.I have a ton of decorations I set out for Halloween and Christmas and have to run power to everything so this works great for keeping the snow or ran out of the power strips I need out there. I only wish I had several more for all of them

Hey, it's a plastic box with a clamp on lid. Not even close to worth the price, but as plastic boxes go, this one is fairly well designed for it's purpose.I needed to go from one single outdoor outlet to multiple outlets. I mounted this within range of the existing outlet, then plugged in an outdoor surge protector, sealed it up, and viola, a multi outlet, waterproof option.Pros:* It's BIG. Plenty of room for a power strip, & wires, as well as your hands to get in there.* It has room for 8 exiting wires, so 1 (or 2) will be from your surge protectors to the original power source, but all others will be from the surge protectors to your electronics. I used a single surge protector (short & wide so it fits), so I only lost one hole to the power source. All other holes can be used to plug other stuff into the power strip.* The wire holes all have a bit of foamy stuff blocking the holes, so when you put the wire in it, then clamp down the lid, it forms a waterproof barrier.* The mounting holes are keyhole type exterior mounts, so not a source of water penetration.* The lid clamps down pretty securely, with 4 external clamps. (Be sure you allow room for those, when deciding where to mount the box.)Cons:* It's BIG, so you need to have a place to mount it in mind. My deck rafters are big enough to hold it out of sight, but this would be an eyesore on the exterior of a house, if visible.* It needs access room not only to mount it on the hidden keyhole screws, but also to have room to remove the lid clamps completely, as this lid doesn't flip up out of the way. It has to be completely removed.* They don't include a mounting screw template, so you start from scratch, making your own, to find where to place the screws. It's plastic, so it's not gonna give, if you're a bit off, so you best be sure before setting that second screw.* There's no way to secure the power strip the box once you install one. They're just free floating in a big plastic box. I didn't like that, so since mine is under the deck, & not exposed to monsoon weather, I screwed my power strip right through the plastic & into the rafter behind it. At least now it's not free floating around in there. My outdoor power strip is supposedly waterproof, so I'll risk it.Manufacturers: You could easily include 4 foam washers, so folks could screw in their power strips, and still keep the waterproof nature of the box. If it's good enough to use for the wires, it should be good enough for the screws, so we can secure the power strips inside the box, to the mounting wall behind.I'd even prefer that to the keyhole mounts, too. They're a pain, & any error in measurement creates an unnecessary headache. Foam washers are a good solution to both issues.

Water tight and plenty of room for my needs.

I have placed a power strip inside and have connected outdoor fountain and lights. It offers a good protection from water and avoids tangles of wires running from the main outlet.

The Hrensaw large outdoor electrical box is very well made and will meet the needs of my project. However I think that there is room for improvement with this product. I my case it was necessary to install a 12 gauge extension cord and a USB cable that had to be run through a protective tube into the box. These two large diameter cords presented a challenge when trying to close and lock the lid. I did finally make it work but I would suggest that an improvement to the design could incorporate at least a couple of larger diameter cord passthroughs. But I still think that the box rates five stars.

I thought it was good to protect electrical cords from the elements, but unfortunately I was wrong as water had somehow gotten into it.

I needed a waterproof outside extension lead for my lights, this arrived really well packed and it looks really really sturdy. I used it for the first time last night. All my plugs are still nice and dry in the box. Perfect really really easy to use and all my plugs are nice and dry brilliant purchase.

Ich hatte schon einige Steckdosenboxen für den Garten und oft waren Sie zu klein oder es drang Wasser ein. Diese IP54 Elektrobox hat genug Raum für 4-6 Stecker mit Kabeln und lässt sich wunderbar verschließen. Hat die Regengüsse gut abgehalten, der Innenraum war immer staubtrocken. Die Kabel lassen sich gut durch die Öffnungen legen und die Abdichtung hält.

Wirklich gute Qualität, genügend Platz im inneren (dreifachsteckdose und deren Kabel) und wasserdicht.
