SO WORTH IT!!!
Great dollhouse. Took me around 2 months or so because I made my own changes like painting it white and black. But I love how everything came together. Yes this project takes a lot of patience but so worth it at the end. For the beginners, take your time and don’t give up. Follow the directions and if directions confuse you, look at YouTube lol. Good luck

Tips and Tricks for Easier Assembly
This review for the Flever Fairy Homeland Dollhouse Kit contains tips and tricks for an easier standard or custom-building experience. The Custom dollhouse building and interior furnishings took 4 months to complete, for an additional $75+. Standard or Custom - either way, it is a fun dollhouse project. Before buying, consider if you are the type of person who can finish what you start. This dollhouse project is not quick or easy to do, and can be frustrating at times; but it can be very creative, and rewarding.Pros:- good quality of building wood (smooth 1/8” mdf)- excellent attention to detail and organization- lots of variety in furniture and décor provided- tools provided are useful: tweezers, ruler, mini- scissors, snap-off-blade cutting knifeCons:- pictorial instructions show you WHAT needs to be done, but not HOW to do it: you have to figure out ways to get the best results (watch videos)- a drafting triangle is essential, but not provided: NOT using one can cause problems in construction (more below)- good overall organization of the kit, but you have to hunt for pieces and measure each to be sureGlue: not provided - consider using:- quick and thick clear glue: less water, dries clear in 15 min.- use for wood, papers, and top coats- 3 in 1: cold synthetic glue, fast grab, clear - use for tiny items- epoxy clear: use for metal-to-wood or plastic-to-wood attachments- hot glue (buy clear) or fabric glue for attaching fabrics: use tiny amounts to avoid glue oozing out- Double-sided Sticky Dots: clear - perfect for attaching small items on walls, tables, floors. RemovableTips and Tricks to avoid pitfalls in building and customizing- ESSENTIAL: Use a drafting triangle ($3) as you build and glue; make sure all wall-to-wall and wall-to-floor/ceiling angles are 90 degrees (square corners). If you are off even one degree, floors and doors won’t fit correctly!- Decide if you want to use the provided lighting wiring kit or go with battery- operated lighting fixtures.• Wiring kit: messes up the décor with visible wires. Invisible, under-flooring or under wallpaper wiring tape can be bought, but extra $$. Some provided lighting fixtures-to-assemble aren’t attractive.• Battery-operated lighting fixtures: cost extra $ -consider Chinese source or make your own using LED balloon lights or mini-tea lights. Easy install.- Apply paint, flooring, and wallpaper on every panel and door before you glue/assemble. When dry apply a protective top- coat with quick and thick clear glue. Use your finger or sponge brush to create a smooth top coat. Dries to a clear, plastic coating that resists tears or dirt.- Front door and roof panels: attach them with hinges exactly where shown; use epoxy glue, let dry, then install screws.- Mistakes: quick and thick clear glue softens in water and the piece can be detached and fixed. Apply water with Q- tip but avoid wetting any papers.- The sofa, chairs and stools become bulky after padding and fabric are added. Maybe use one layer of fabric or felt without overlapping it to the back and don’t attach a 2nd piece of wood to the back or bottom. Use wallpaper or paint to cover exterior instead, and use some wood filler and craft paint in the joints. (See winged -back chair in bedroom for example). The wood sides on winged- back chair have two different sizes: small= inner, and larger= outer! If you use only 1 layer of wood, choose the larger.- Tiny cushions are very tough to make; maybe attach a piece of felt to chair seats instead, or just paint them.- A Dremel tool is handy to fix some mistakes or change any piece of wood. So is a craft knife.- This finished dollhouse is best as décor or for people 14 +; tiny things can be broken or swallowed easily. Keep your repair kit on hand.- Metric measurements: Be sure to measure every part that you use, and compare it to the colored, pictorial manual which lists the size in centimeters. (provided ruler has both Metric and Imperial). You can be sure you have the right part for a project by measuring and matching to the manual first.- When working with staircase posts, some have flat tops and some have angled tops: use flat on landings and angular on staircases.- Use Double-sided Sticky-dots to attach items to walls, tables, floors or ceilings; the dots are removable, but be gentle to avoid damage to papers. Earthquake-proof your dollhouse interior items, if needed.- Custom roof shingles can be purchased and glued on individually or in strips. Costly, usually 1:12 scale. Easier/cheaper to buy/print out (landscape) a pdf roof shingle design on matte photo paper. Add a quick n thick glue top coat with your finger or sponge brush.- Custom flooring is time consuming to construct and can add to costs: consider buying adhesive flooring: 1 pack of 3 pages is enough for 3 rooms. Or make your own by printing out a pdf design on matte photo paper, cut, glue and top coat. Hobby shops also have miniature flooring selections available.- Lots of online videos are available to show you how to assemble this house or make your own items. Get help from online communities.

Fun Project For The DIY Person In Your Fanily!
I bought this doll house as a Christmas present for my mom last year and she loves it.First off, I will say that this kit is not for the person that wants to get something put together quick. It took a good month for my mom to assemble this house and she worked on it for at least 1 hour every day but she did add extra details which took more time. The only real drawback with it as far as looks is the roof stickers. It would have been a little more interesting if they included a shingles instead of the large sticker. It's not a huge deal but does make it havd a slight cartoon look up close. Some of the stickers were also very hard to align on the walls etc but at the end of the project they turned out very well.It was fun watching my mom put this house together and it still looks great a year later.Something I did add this thus one which might be a option for you is I installed a cheap solar light kit module in place of the battery packs ....this house lights up every night when sun goes down giving a warm glow coming from the windows as if someone is at home inside.Overall it was absolutely worth the purchase and anyone that is really into DIY projects won't get bored with this build quickly.

Don’t buy if you are a beginner
I bought this to try before I commit to a 1:12 dollhouse kit. Parts missing, parts not cut correctly so some things are wonky, parts not labeled so searching and measuring teeny little parts was frustrating, confusing instructions so watched an instruction video several times. I will not complete it as the instructions show because I really hate the fabric included. And the lighting is ridiculous because the wiring cannot be hidden. Overall it was worth it as a trial, but it surely is not something I will buy again.

Very cute, worth the time & effort
The media could not be loaded. This took me almost 3 weeks to do. I obviously changed a lot about it but it turned out exactly how I wanted it to.Came with Chinese? Instructions but scanned paper that came with it for online instructions to figure out the lighting. Pictures were enough to figure out everything else. I’m a beginner at miniatures & still completed it, just gotta have a lot of patience & some good super glue lol. I love it!!

Takes time
200 hours to construct the dollhouse and furniture. 1:24 scale… so very tiny. And everything needs to be put together… everything. The result is great. I reconfigured the lighting and eliminated some of the front (outdoor) objects, since it doesn’t have a dust cover.

Fairy tale Homestead.
I love this little doll house I changed some things around and added a few pieces. I would buy another if I could but they are out of stock. 4 stars because a few important pieces were missing.
