After a good deal of research, and after returning a competing product that seemed like a toy compared to this scale, I found the Escali L600 at Amazon for two-thirds the price asked elsewhere.PROS:-- Solid construction -- easy to use -- highly accurate,-- performs exactly as advertised -- good priceCONS:-- Might be a bit bulky for some users;-- 9-volt AC adapter recommended by Escali may be incorrect for this scale, which uses four 1.5 volt batteries totallng 6 volts, not 9 volts

Excellent for a variety of items like jewelry, things that need fractional weight.

I absolutely loved this scale at first. It was accurate, easy to use and portable. 3 months later and the only button that works is the on button. I can weigh one item, but then I have to wait for it to shut off automatically as I can weigh my next item. I don't have time for that. So disappointed. Don't waste your money.

This scale is pretty much perfect for what I need. I bought the scale to measure coffee for espresso shots as I want to get precise gram measurements. Having the 1/10 gram precision means that I know that I can reliably repeat the weight and not be off by 1-2 grams as I would if the precision was only in whole grams.Incidentally, my daughter said that it is exactly the scales that she uses in her high school science class.The "tare" feature is perfect as I can use any container with the scale. Also, if you turn on the scale with a container already on it, the scale sets to zero. This is a small thing, but it makes measuring even simpler. The design of the scale is simple and the quality seems good, especially for the money.

I got this scale to mix photographic chemistry. It's a great item and it's really well made. The controls are very deliberate: you need to hold down the "off" button in order to get the scale to turn off, the same with the tare button and the other buttons. The other scale I have is a regular digital kitchen scale, so this took a bit of getting used to, but it all makes sense from a lab environment.As another reviewer mentions, the corresponding calibration weight for this scale is 100 grams *not* 50 grams as the product description says. I did get a calibration weight.

I use it to make sausage and immersion cures for my new charcuterie hobby. It responds quickly to light weight spices and heavier things like salt and instacure.I am very happy with the scale and would recommend it to anyone wanting to use it as I do.

This is pretty pricey for a kitchen scale, which is what I use it for. There are lots of nice kitchen scales out there, but they will tell you that 6.1 grams of espresso is the same thing as 6.9 grams of espresso. Otherwise, it is certainly satisfactory in construction and appearance. I could probably be duped into paying $200 for one that does tenth-grams if it were stainless steel and said Cuisinart on it, but then I would only be just as happy as I currently am with this scale. Sigh.

My scale would not calibrate, and would just jump randomly between -1.00g and 1.00g when anything was placed on it. I assume my unit was either defective or damaged during shipping (which I find unlikely, it seemed to be packaged quite well).I have requested a replacement and will update this review if the replacement is better.UPDATE: I received a replacement and it works perfectly. Very nice scale. I have a set of calibration weights ranging from 50mg to 100g, and it nails nearly every one perfectly. A few of them are off by 0.01g, but that could be the weights themselves.

I really love this scale. My previous one was not working well and I had a hard time to turn it on etc because of the way the buttons were situated.This one, the button are really easy to access and easy to understand. It works really well and I love the flat base. I was luck to read the review prior to buying it but this scale require 500g calibration weight. But as I said, I was lucky enough to have read about it and bought it at the same time. The scales goes up to 600g but that's ok as I rarely use it for more than that at a time.

La bascula funciona muy bien, solo que es de baterias, lo cual para uso continuo no es muy recomendado. Tiene en enchufe para poder contectarla a la corriente, pero no trae el cable.Fuera de eso, creo que es buena compra
