This is also accompanied by several exam-style questions, which helps make every case invaluable for revision. This book is a fantastic resource for any medical student or junior doctor! It teaches the reader how to systematically analyse radiological images in a clear and concise way and to become familiar with common clinical presentations. It covers not only X-rays, but also CTs, MRIs and some other modalities such as ultrasound scans. The images are of very good quality and the presentation of the book is great. As a final year medical student I still refer to the book on a regular basis and I am certain I will continue to do so when I qualify. I find the 'Key Points' provided throughout each chapter particularly handy and the quizzes at the end of each chapter help to consolidate your knowledge.

First things first, the book is great. Very concise introduction to each system with examples of how common pathologies (e.g. pleural effusion, mass, consolidation) appear on CXR. Then onto a whole bunch of cases, with big A4 X-ray images and some questions (with detailed answers). I'm sure every student has had the awkward 'tell me what you see on this CXR' from a consultant on the ward, followed by the inevitable jumble of hopelessness. I can only assume the rest of the sections are as good! Had one or two problems however. The book arrived with a few damaged pages (ink), messaged the seller (on Facebook of all places) and got a new one sent the next day, so excellent customer service. I mean, problems happen, it's how you deal with them that really matters!

As a third year Radiography student I have struggled to find a book that has case studies and excellent definition of pathology on radiographs, but this book covers all of that and more, it also goes further by covering important aspects of CT and MRI. Overall this book in essential for students, newly qualified and experienced radiographers, also it has further use for advanced practice such as MRI, CT and Ultrasound. Its only down side is it may give you a back injury when carrying for long periods as the book is heavy, I had no idea it was as thick as bt telephone book when ordering it.

This book is perfect for any level of medical student and could even be beneficial to other medical staff. It firstly clearly explains how to present various radiological images and explains why. Secondly, it gives the reader an opportunity to practice using many case studies and then provides detailed feedback about the case, not only relating to the image but also about the conditions that are seen! Most medicals schools are unable to provide high quality teaching in this area, however this book is the perfect substitute! I would highly recommend it to all.

This book is very well made with good quality printing making it easy to see the pictures. It has a nice format and it's easy to learn by going through the cases and the questions - an enjoyable way to learn the subject of radiology!

Amazing book; while some things are really basic (to the point where they're ridiculous and funny to someone who isn't completely clueless), it's good that it treats the reader like a complete beginner- in that way you don't miss out and start learning from the very basics. it's very colorful with the font is massive (size 14?), that put me off at first (maybe because I'm used to those professional medical books filled with tiny text and barely any images and this is like back to kindergarden layout)... but it fits the 'beginner' idea and actually makes learning way more fun.

I wish I had this long time ago,as I am into teaching,it’s a great refresher and I feel more confident that I can explain x-rays to my juniors in a great detail and with confident and in a logical plus easy manner. This should be made an official book in the med. school. Just perfection,absolute perfection
