Not the red light I wanted, but here's why I kept it anyway
I bought this and another light hoping to use the red light for night flying in the helicopter. I ended up preferring the other light for my night flight because this one was too bright. When flying, we need a light that illuminates or maps/charts in the cockpit without disturbing our natural night vision. I was afraid this one would reflect off of the windscreen and cause a problem. Also, if you leave this light on one of its settings for several seconds and then push the button, again, it will cycle directly to off, rather than continuing through the other options. This is nice, but the other light that I fly at night with also remembers this setting and starts in that mode, rather than forcing you to cycle through the other options, first. So, I used the other light for flying, but I kept this one for a couple of reasons...I love the physical design. Any head lamp that uses plastic a part of its hinge tensioning/friction will eventually fail letting the lamp flip forward. However, while this lamp uses plastic as part of its hinge tensioning, this lamp actually pivots within the hinge meaning that there is nearly no weight that would flop forward. I'm optimistic that this will last the life of the battery, as opposed to the other headlamps that I have that are too floppy to be usable as a head lamp.Additionally, the bright lamp (or its 5 white or 3 red levels?) is great if you're trying to see some distance away. I haven't tried to use the red light outside in the dark, but the white light is bright enough to illuminate my work area well. Finally, with most modern electronics using USB-C for their charging port, it is nice that this light charges from any standard USB-C charging cable. It clearly shows the charging status by a color coded light in the button at one end. I can see it from across the room and know whether it is fully charged or not.So, although it was a bit too bright for flying, it was still a keeper.

Great headlamp
Incredibly bright and light to wear. Just used it on an 1500 nm ocean crossing during my night watch shifts. Red light super bright and the charge lasted me a week. I recharged on day 7 just in case but really don’t think I needed to. Not continuous use but turned it on for every time I had to do a walk around on the deck or check the sails. Love the way the usb-c port is protected under the button screw cap. USB connectors do not survive well in the salt water environment and this sealed system worked great. Only exposed the usb port down in the cabin where the air is relatively free of salt water mist.Only wish list would be that it remembers the last mode and resumes rather than going back to white every time. It remembers the brightness settings for white and red but I always had to cover with my hand to cycle from white to red so I wouldn’t lose my night vision.

Good for the price . It’s very bright! In the day and especially in the night . Only problem is it won’t last much . Maybe 30min if u leave it on the whole time . But really bright

Super Bright, and battery lasts a while
This headlamp is my new go to headlamp. It lasts over 4.5hrs on the second to highest setting. Only the highest setting it does get hot, but the second highest is good enough for me. It uses the 18650 batteries that Tesla uses and I love the hidden charging port. You unscrew the end with the button. Very cool, just wish it had a larger pad for my forehead. But for the price you CANT BEAT IT

SUPER bright
The media could not be loaded. SUPER bright, great performance. The quality is amazing - I’ve taken it into the woods with me several times and it’s held up every time. The battery life is good - I had it going straight for about 5 hours and had no issues but I haven’t tested beyond those limits yet. I’d recommend if you’re going to be around electricity and can recharge every once in a while.

Very bright…horrible battery life. unit gets very hot when charging and when in use
This light is very bright. I really love that the red light is as bright as it is. The red light is much brighter than any of the 4 other headlamps that I have. And those are good name brands. It does get very hot when its on for a while.Oddly, this light/battery died after very little use. I don't think I had a total of 1 hour of use over a 2-3 day period. And more odd was the fact that it died without warning. I expected that perhaps the light would start to dim, or something, to indicate that battery level was getting low. We'll see how long the second charge lasts to see if maybe the first time was a fluke.Update on the charge: light died pretty quickly again. I know the product details say that the light flashes to warn of end of battery life. Perhaps I missed the flashes prior to the battery dying, but I don't recall it flashing. Either way, that certainly isn’t t enough notice that the battery is dying. So, not only was battery life only a few minutes, there’s virtually no warning that the battery is going to die. Based on that, I would never buy this light. Every other light I have (several- probably 7 different ones), every single one of them starts to dim, for plenty of warning of impending dead battery..If you're looking for a bright red light for hunting, this is great. Just be sure to keep an extra, charged battery with you, because this one won't give you much more than an hour of runtime. Either keep an extra battery, or charge this after each use, or as frequently as necessary, knowing it won't give you much more than an hour of runtime. For me, I need 15 min of use to get to my hunting spot in the a.m. and 15 min to get out at night. This battery died on my on my way out of the woods on my second night (4 uses).Update #2: I fully charged the batteries on two of the headlamps (FYI I have a few of these headlamps), and I turned them on high and set them on my desk. I did this twice - once last night, then I fully charged the batteries over night and did it again today. Last night - I wasn't in the room when they went off, so I wasn't positive of exactly when they shut off. I just knew that it was less than 2.5 hours. Today I figured I would get exact times. The first one went off after 1 hr and 51 min. The second one went off at exactly 2 hours. And the lights did blink to warn of impending shut off. But that blinking warning only gave about a minute of notification. The lights didn't dim or anything as battery waned. So that 1 min of warning isn't enough if you are relying on this to be functional. If using this headlamp, be sure to keep an extra, fully charged battery with you.

Great head torch.
This item arrived on time and works very well, it has adjustable brightness settings and I find that the 3rd brightest is sufficient for me. It appears to be solidly made and the battery has a good life. The only problem is that it's a little complicated to set up and the instructions are a bit vague. But otherwise first class👍👍
