ANSIO Glass Teapot with Infuser 600 ml Borosilicate 304 Stainless Steel Lid, Clear Teapot Infuser with Heat Resistant and Loose Leaf Teapot Infuser

This teapot has turned me into a tea snob. Like a lot of people looking at these sorts of products I considered it mainly for plastic avoidance reasons (both for environmental and extremely worrying health reasons with regards to the toxicity of plastic when heated). I started out by buying one of those little strainer-ball things you can place a little tea into and have hanging off the edge of your glass with a chain, as though it were a metal tea-bag, but the mesh of those things is far too wide, lets too much of the physical tea into the drinkable liquid and more importantly has a very low capacity. This thing however has more than enough capacity to see to the needs of just about any tea-strength desires, and manages to filter all but the most miniscule plant particles, which, when left to brew, sink to the bottom of the pot and, due to its bulbous design remain there right up until you pour the very last dregs of the brew. All in all, this is a perfect product, it's easy to clean, easy to use, functions above expectations and i've been using it every day.

Although small, it is large enough for a large mug of tea. Elegant, and pours well without dripping. After a month or two brewing Lapsang Souchong (the reason for buying this, as it is increasingly difficult to get good flavoured teabags of this tea), the teapot started to discolour slightly , especially the strainer. However, after a couple of hours with a stearodent table (which fits nicely in the strainer), it looks as good as new. Obviously I handle it with some care, but it seems quite robust for glass. All in all, a very good purchase if you wish to brew for one person.

I love this little tea pot. I say little but you actually get 2 good sized mugs of tea from it. And the best bit is that I've had no leakage when pouring the tea into my cup. The steel parts separate off from the glass pot for ease of washing and then fit together again snuggly. And the glass itself isn't too flimsy - feels a bit more like pyrex so a decent thickness. Not sure if it's dishwashable but as I don't have a dishwasher, that isn't a problem for me. I've been enjoying the one for me one for the pot ritual and plan to continue for many more years using this little gem.

I believe, believe there is a flaw in the design of the spout. too small for the size of the teapot. If you., like me enjoys possibly two or even three mugs of tea and from one pot, then filled to the rim of the diffuser when the pot is poured immediately there is overflow down the pot and the mug or large cup. Only when the pot is filled so that the bottom 2 mm of the diffuser is covered with water then being very careful with the angle of pour there is no spillage and the tea cup is filled. This means that possibly the pot only contains 2 cups to avoid spillage. Packaging and presentation is good and the general look of the pot is quite pleasing glass thickness and quality & lid stability is fine. Regards AC Eagle.

Bought as part of a present for my husband. Initially thought it was on small side but he is the only tea drinker and it does hold 2 good mugfuls. Looks good and most importantly infuses a good mug of tea for him. We do use with a strainer too to catch any stray tea leaves but great over all. Washes easily in dishwasher too. We also have a little silicon mat so it's not so slippy on the work top. Would recommend if you only want to serve 1 or 2 people.

I'm happy with the quality of the brew as the infuser seems to do its job pretty well, but I am left wondering whether they've changed the design of the spout slightly. I bought the teapot based on the good reviews, which I now see are a couple of years old. Most of the more recent reviewers seem to have encountered the same thing as me - it pours terribly. Whether you try to pour slowly or fast, significant amounts of tea end up on the counter rather than in the cup. A design flaw I guess. I'm unhappy with this purchase, but it was cheap and I can't be bothered to try and return it for a refund as it would be difficult to wrap carefully and the original packaging has gone. Shame.

La teiera fa benissimo il suo lavoro. Il filtro è stupendo non lascia trapelare nessuna foglia o residuo anche piccolo. Rispetto ad altri infusori che ho provato il gusto del tea viene maggiormente esaltato. Può essere usato anche per le tisane anche se non lo ho ancora provato. Ho provato inoltre a scaldare l'acqua al microonde ovviamente senza il filtro e le parti in metallo. Il vetro della teiera si è comportato benissimo. Mi sembra abbastanza resistente. Bisogna valutarlo sulla lunga durata. Ho usato la teiera 6 volte prima di questa recensione e per ora è tutto perfetto.

Le contenant est suffisant pour 2 tasses (mug). Esthétiquement Très joli. Simple d'utilisation et facilement lavable.

Esta es la segunda que compro. En cuanto a la durabilidad llevo poco tiempo usándolo pero el cristal parece fuerte. Se puede meter al microondas y al lavavajillas. La cesta para colar es muy tupida y no se cuela nada de posos. El tamaño 600ml es perfecto para dos tazas generosas. Relación calidad/precio genial. Lo recomiendo.
