In my view this item is far far too expensive. I assume its collecting on the branding.There are much cheaper alternatives that will do the same job just as well.

Utterly garbage
I had one of these a few years ago and it could not get a knife properly sharp to save it's life, nor mine. Here's a rule of thumb that works a lot in life... If things are made more convenient, less skillful, the worse it is. This goes for pre-built little knife sharpeners, mass-produced vs handmade, "I know how to do it I read the manual" vs "I have had experience with this for years and I know more than the manual writer".The most convenient I would recommend are the sticks that you slot into wood that criss cross X and you hold the knife straight and run down the rods. I prefer a diamond sharpening stone and do it free-hand. It's not that hard, especially when you can watch YouTube videos of people showing you how to do it.
