The set arrived without a retail box in yet another brown box with no markings except a white small sticker. So, definitely not a "giftable" presence. But, inside the box, the bowls were well packed and protected. Out of the box, they look and feel actually pretty nice. Colorful and pleasant shape and weight. They are also relatively large and can accommodate 3 scoops of ice cream easily. They can also be used for a lot of other things such as dips, olives, salsa, etc. Overall, I would say I am pleasantly surprised and, had it come with a gift (retail) box, I would have given the product 5 stars!

These are such beautiful ceramic dessert cups! I took one star off because one of them came chipped. 😞 Other than that, they are beautiful and great quality. I ate ice cream in one of them the day they arrived, lol. I can't wait to serve dessert in these to my family and friends. Just beautiful. I really hate that one of them chipped. 😒

These are so adorable. These glass bowls can be used for so many things. Dessert bowl, nuts or candy dish or even a candle holder. It doesn't say on the bowls if they are microwave or dishwasher safe so I'd just hand wash. Only 4 stars cause they're not.

What works:1. Aesthetic. I'm not sure if any of the pictures really show how nice these looks. They have some really beautiful and intricate patterns that play well off the material of the bowl. I've also run these through the dishwasher multiple times and have yet to notice any loss of paint from the design.2. Quality. I've seen things like this before and you pick them up and they just feel like plastic coated in a stone shell. However, these things are well made, hefty, and will probably last well beyond most of the things in my cupboards.3. Concept. I know these aren't unique in any way and some people may even have random dessert bowls sitting unused on a shelf somewhere. However, something about the look and feel of these really creates a fun dessert atmosphere. There isn't really a better way to put it. They sort of remind me of something my grandmother would've owned and brought out at special occasions to serve sundaes in.What might bother some people:1. A hole for water. Okay, this is such a minor complaint, but I wanted to mention it. When turned upside down (like you might do to place in a dish washer) the base has a depression that can collect a surprising amount of water. Meaning, you can end up with a bit of a wet floor if you aren't careful taking these out. Again, not a major issue, but just something to be aware of.

I am sure these are made in china, but honestly, they feel straight from some tiny Catalan ceramics shop. They are absolutely delightful and such a deal. Some have noted that you'll be left with mini wading pools in the dishwasher -- and honestly, just something you'll have to live with (bases collecting water) as turning to their side will likely ruin your loading strategy.These bowls do indeed come off way better than the pics on the listing -- but what I love is the small nuances that make them seem handmade not factory produced. They gleam and the patterns are adorable. But really it's the small things like the outlined lip, the unfinished bases and spots of white that pop where the petals curve, and even the seeming lack of uniformity to the motifs. Yet another reason to gobble down some extreme moose tracks! One downside/oddity is how the blue print is cut off ... that does NOT seem random, and more like the machine could not hit that curve, but other than that ... near perfect.

These bowls are super cute. I wanted fun ice cream bowls that are actually big (but not too big) and these totally work. They can hold like half a pint of ice cream comfortably. The size is so good that they can be used for dips and other food items as well. They came packaged really well so there were no issues in shipping. I think these bowls would be a good gift as well, just wrap it in pretty paper. :-)

These beautiful ice cream bowls are made of food grade ceramic, heavier than glass, and do not absorb odors. I recommend hand washing them. Very elegant dessert bowls. Just perfect for dessert as the size and shape are very versatile! HIGHLY RECOMMEND and just in time for the holidays. You can even set them out with nuts, cubed cheese, pickles, olives, etc if you are having a party or just to enjoy with your family.

My sister bought a set of mismatched dishes a couple of years ago, and a few of us in the family picked on her for not having matching plates. The more I saw them though, the more I enjoyed the concept. So, I now have my own mismatched set of bowls. They hold enough for a good-sized portion of ice cream, or they can be used for cereal, dips, sauces, etc. They're sturdy but not heavy. I may have to get another set so my sister can have some more non-matching dishes.
