OKD Storage Cabinet, Reclaimed Barnwood

This was a HUGE waste of $200. First of all, it’s advertised as 16in wide, when the truth is, 5 of those inches are external decoration. The true usable width on the inside is only 11in. Secondly, this thing is worse than any piece of Sauder I’ve ever purchased. It feels like veneer over styrofoam. Pulling the door open makes the whole cabinet shake. At $200, I should not have to put two gallons of water on the bottom shelf to provide enough stability not to tip forward when opening the door. I’ve purchased several pieces of furniture in the past two months that my husband has been patient enough to put together for me. While the two Sauder pieces are lesser quality than the three Homestyles items, they run circles around this thing, and that cabinet was twice as large and $50 cheaper. I took a risk on this brand/item and it bit me in the rear. Now I’m searching for a replacement because I will not be using this for it's original purpose. My husband is going to take it apart and fortify it. Maybe it’ll hold the kids’ art supplies. Or maybe it’ll end up in the garage where I won’t have to see it and be reminded of the wasted time and money that went into this garbage.
